Absolutely beautiful 1986 Jeep CJ-7 with only 93. 00 original miles.
As close to a frame off restoration as you'll find. but without having to spend the $$$.
EVERYTHING works on this Jeep.
Everything!! This Jeep is an excellent value with the following components upgraded:
-Rebuilt 258 ci engine with T 5 manual transmission-Steel gray exterior paint with Rhinoliner interior on floor.
Dash and window framing matches exterior-Kenwood CD player w/ USB port and (2) Polk Audio speakers in dash -Tuffy lockable center console -Rugged Ridge front (2) and bench seats -Ignition system replaced: Accel coil. Accel wires. switch. distributor to prevent spark jumping -New American Eagle rims -Nitro Mud 33" terrain tires -(4) Shocks -Battery -GT Grant steering wheel w/ horn -Turn signal switch (all blinkers and lights work well) -All gauges new: speedometer cluster (including temp and gas gauge). oil pressure and battery gauges -Window washer pump -Rear end upgraded with Chromoly single piece axles with new drums.
Great for off-roading but gear ratios have not been altered so does great at highway speeds.
-Heater core and upgraded heater fan
-All electronics (gauges. turn signals. horn. lights. etc. ) professionally installed or repaired and in excellent working order.
-Steel bar doors -Bikini top -Jeep dash panel -No leaks!-No rust-Clean title
These improvements are in addition to smaller details. such as seat belts. chrome dash knobs. hood hardware. side view mirrors. roll bar/tire jack freshly painted. etc.
Nothing has been overlooked and. again. EVERYTHING works as it should.
Cons:-Engine compartment was not repainted (engine rebuild was prior to paint)-Spare tire doesn't match (I have original with rim painted black to match. smaller though)-Glove box latch is stubborn (I could replace lock but would also need to replace glove box door and it was painted to match dash)-Compliments ALLLL the time
I have spent over $19. 00 on restoration with professional labor. not to mention my countless hours of work.
This is truly a great example of a CJ that looks better now than it did the day it came off the showroom floor.
