Seller's notes: "Vintage vehicle in very nice condition. Great looking and runs fine. Automatic transmission and power steering are fine. Nothing needs to be attended to for it to be driven. The air conditioner is not in working order. Mild scrape or peeling in a few places along the tan thin molding strip mostly on the driver side (see photo). A little bit of the silver paint on the top of the front grill has a few cracks, not very noticeable. Tailgate opens all the way up but cylinders won't hold it up, lifts a little hard. Driver seat has some wear. Rest of the upholstery and interior including carpets looks fine. A window power lock is not working. Has always been parked in a garage, very nice original paint finish. The car has a working cruise control and tilt steering wheel. It also has new tires. When rolling up the driver side window there is an area where it squeaks and is a little bit resistant, but window rolls up and down fine. Horn, wipers, heater, signals etc. are functioning properly."

1981 is the first year of the K-Car line of cars- "The Car that Saved Chrysler". This is an exceptionally nice and rare station wagon which has been kept in a garage since purchased new. The original paint looks great. a fine light blue color referred to by name as Day Star Blue. Trimmed with the "wood panel" look.   Although the driver seat has some wear. the rest of the interior looks fine. The vehicle has been meticulously maintained throughout the years to be an excellent running vehicle. All of the receipts. repair and maintenance records. manual have been kept going back to its original window sticker price. On both sides of the car are the badges indicating that the vehicle is a 2. 6 liter Hemi. It's a 4 cylinder vehicle with automatic transmission. The car has 193. 00 miles. The odometer states 93. 00. it has been around once. The cylinder head was rebuilt in 2002. Other things include new shocks on the front. struts. wheel bearings packed. and new tires. With its front wheel drive it's a very smooth riding car. There is a 1980s Kenwood working radio /cassette player with manual which is a replacement of the original radio. There is a luggage rack. The air conditioner is not in working order. About 7 years ago the air conditioner stopped cooling and the service department at a Chrysler dealership said the hoses were leaking and needed to be replaced. It was decided to let the work on the air conditioner go. It's unknown if the air unit components other than the hoses are presently working or not. Don't hear anything other than the fan when the air conditioner button is pushed in. Included for viewing (see photo) is the original window sticker. It was torn a bit while removing it from the window it was adhered to. but a good deal of it can still be read. The car is equipped with power locks but one of the locks isn't working and has to be attended to manually.

The car starts right up and runs just fine. There aren't any problems and it certainly could run for some time without any problems. But it's hard to know. It is a vintage collectible car at this point and with its high mileage its perhaps best to maintain its beautiful appearance and take it out for special occasions. If a person in NC. or in surrounding states convenient to the central area of NC. were to buy the car it could be driven on. There aren't parts readily available for the car though if something were to malfunction driving on a very long trip. For that reason it would be recommended for the car to be shipped rather than driven a significantly long distance. The car is available for buyer pick up. If to be shipped the buyer arranges and pays for shipping. Vehicle does not have an existing warranty. and is sold as is. The car's location is Thomasville NC which is about 1/2 hr southwest of Greensboro. It is ready to be purchased. the title is clear.

A Paypal only deposit of $200. 00 is required within 48 hours of auction close. The payment in full is required within 7 days of the auction close. Please check details of this auction for the two methods of payments that are accepted for payment in full. The buyer and seller will proceed with the title transfer at the Thomasville NC Dept. of Motor Vehicles location. Notarization is required with an automobile title transfer in North Carolina. After the title transfer the buyer can then proceed with picking up the car or the buyer's shipping arrangement.

So here's a chance for you to own your very own vintage "woody wagon"! Not real wood of course. wish it were though! The large "wood panels" running the length of the car are actually large sophisticated "decals" adhered to the sides of the vehicle. They are in excellent condition on this car. they look great! Thanks very much for your interest.

Is this still for sale? I see that it was posted a few years ago, but it still came up. If it is for sale, I would like to ask a few questions. Thanks!
