NO RESERVE AUCTION

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a beautiful 1988 GMC V3500 Crew Cab dually. This California truck has spent its 32 years of life only residing in the east bay region of the San Francisco bay area. The truck was sold new at Bridges Pontiac/GMC in Hayward,CA and never lived outside of the county line. The truck has had extensive maintenance records dating back to when it was delivered on 7/9/1988. The truck has always been maintained at GMC dealers throughout the east bay. A 1988 crew cab dually that is a factory 4x4 is a special truck for many reasons. It was the most limited produced and most expensive General Motors truck you could buy, 4 doors with 4x4 wasn't a trendy combination yet and was only ordered if there was a need. The squarebody era technically ended in 1987, that is except for anything with 4 doors like this truck was built up until 1991. This truck is the last of an era that has created so many fond memories for people all over the world. It has the best and most evolved equipment General Motors could offer in the late 80s. Starting with the heart of the beast, a Fuel Injected version of the legendary 7.4 liter 454cid V8 motor. The durable Th400 transmission along with a the bulletproof cast iron gear driven New Process205 transfer case. The Dana 60 front axle with Dana 70 rear axle this truck will get you and your family anywhere you need to go. Squarebody trucks are a hot ticket right now whether its a long bed 2wd or a short bed 4x4 restored, swapped, converted examples can be found all over the place. But an original example that has not been restored and packed with cheap Asian made aftermarket parts cannot be found all over the place. Especially an original crew cab dually that is a a factory 4x4, with the kind of originality and history this is not an easy truck to duplicate. The truck comes with the original dealer order form. It is fact that investing in a classic vehicle is better than money in the bank, don't miss out on this opportunity to own this badass crew cab.

Cosmetically this truck is a real looker that makes a statement wherever it goes. Sitting pretty on some brand new 315/75/16 M/T tires, keeps the original look with a little flare. The body is solid and straight. There are no rust holes or any real damage. All of the drip rails, rockers and floors are solid. No cracks in the dually fenders. The Frost White paint shines great. All of the original chrome bumpers shine and look great with no dents, The vintage push bar and KC day lighters are a nice touch.

Step up in this beast and the Saddle Tan interior is immaculate and inviting. White with tan is always a favorable combination in any vehicle, and this truck is no exception. The Sierra Classic door panels are in fantastic condition. If you know squarebody trucks, you know the fancier fully power Silverado/Sierra Classic door panels almost always have something missing or a feature is not functional. That is not the case with this truck, these are original door panels with all of the original pull straps and covers are intact along with the velour inserts, all of the power windows are functional. The brushed aluminum dash is in great shape with no imperfections. The carpet is flawless with no tears or spots. The front seat is in great shape with no rips or tears and the rear seat looks like it has never been sat in.  All of the windows have been tinted to preserve the interior.

Mechanically this truck is in good condition. This truck is essentially the epitome of the best General Motors could offer in the late 80s. An evolved fuel injected 454 V8 with the Turbo-Hydromantic 400 Transmission, the cast iron heavy duty New Process 205 Transfer case with Dana 60 and Dana 70 Axles. The big block 7.4 liter V8 fires up and runs strong (WALKAROUND VIDEO). The truck has headers with a true dual 40 series flowmaster exhaust setup that sounds great. The transmission shifts into all gears smoothly. The tires are 6 brand new 315/75/16 Mud Terrain tires that ride great. It shifts into 4 wheel drive smoothly through the New Process 205 T-case.
