I am a dealer and bought this car in 2006. My wife and I bought it for love of Z cars and sentiment. It is technically a one owner car since we are a dealer as you can see the original 1977 title that we have along with the original envelope it was mailed in. It was bought at Centex Datsun on South Congress in Austin Tx.  It has been garaged it's whole life and has always lived in the Austin/ San Antonio area. The original owner was very meticulous and kept all service records etc. in a 3 ring binder with the original factory window sticker followed by the 1000 mile check-up and so on. He even had the couple of shops print out full reports of all work done from 1996 through 2006. It comes with the original owners manual. As far as maintenance. nbsp;one report shows he spent $10. 59. 19 from 12/08/96 to 12/08/06 (see pix) so he had anything that needed attention done. In 2002 he had a custom rebuild done on the engine at a cost of $5060. 53(see pix) at this shop and replaced tons of other parts not related to the rebuild-look at the picture of the receipt. I believe that if the receipt says zero charge for anything listed that it was actually done but he was not charged for the part as it was part of the agreement for a rebuild at a cost of over $5000. 00.  Runs and drives excellent and we drive it occasionally (3rd car) for several days in a row- it can be a daily driver if you wish it to be.  It has cold air and hot heat- the engine compartment light and the power antenna even still work. Brand new Yokahama tires. The only known issues that need attention are the flip down light over the radio. It did work. but doesn't now (bulb?)- the windshield washer squirter will blow a fuse if you punch it but I didn't go there as I don't drive it in the rain-  also the clock doesn't work.  Paint is excellent- the car does have a couple of minor door dings and one tiny one on the roof. The welds on the roof toward the rear of the car each have a small crack in the paint. It does have one ding over the passenger rear fenderwell right at the body side molding that would require paint and bodywork to correct but I have never considered fixing as no one ever notices it and as I said from the front clip back is all original and I would leave it that way.  You will not see anything I am describing in the pictures so I am doing my best to give an accurate description of the car.  Due to the being always garaged and living it's whole life in the Texas Hill Country the car and floor pan are rust free except the lower passenger rear quarter panel- it does have some bubbling that I (think) attribute to the double wall body and I believe water got trapped in that one panel with no way out. No rust anywhere else and you will see the pix of the undercarriage etc. Mileage is almost 200k but the car was his baby and has been a weekend driver for me. I have replaced the radiator. starter. multifunction switch (blinker. headlight. w/s wipers etc. lever)and ignition switch. fuseable links and housing. and rear deck carpet. The car was all original paint until the guy in the huge 4x4 took a right into the drivers side front fender from the left lane. I decided to have the whole front clip (front fenders and hood) painted. It is a very. very light metallic and I was really pleased with the outcome. The rest of the car from the front clip back is all original paint. It has a dash cap due to the Z cars history of dashes cracking and nobody can tell the difference. The original starter was not the problem and is probably fine and comes with the car- it was the ignition switch that needed to be replaced. Currently has a cd player but comes with the factory Clarion. auto reverse cassette deck that I assumed was aftermarket when I had my identical orange 78' in the early 80s- must have been factory as I had Deja Vu immediately when I sat down in it- same radio.  Comes with misc. other stuff.   All Texas buyers must pay all applicable TT&L. Independent inspections are welcome. Local pickup only. Overseas buyers will pay accordingly to Ebay's shipping policies.  If any questions please call 512-263-7718 8am-6pm Mon- Fri. 8am-4pm Sat.
