1986 Porsche 944 Turbo

Up for your consideration is this 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo. We have owned this car for about 5 years. I am an avid Porsche guy and have owned dozens in the last 30 years. I appreciate original. unmolested cars. This specific car is one of my favorites. I believe it to be mostly original paint. The only signs of repainting are the side moldings which are known to fade over time. There is also some small peeling clear areas on the front bumper & rear tail gate. The rear factory stone guards had cracked & yellowed. so I removed them. During the removal of the passenger side guard. a small (dime size) piece of the rocker panel gravel guard was removed. None of this would photograph well. but I want to disclose it.

The outside I would rate 8. 5/10 & that's being critical. The interior is beautiful. Dash is not perfect. but near mint. The carpet is excellent to mint. The seats are very good to excellent with wear on the driver's seat bolster. Some light wear on the steering wheel. The only modification to the interior is a pressure gauge in the pocket of the center console. easily reversed.  

The vinyl behind the sunroof is loose on the ends & needs to be re glued. Overall it is one of the nicest original interiors I have seen & I would rate it a 9/10.

Mechanically. the only modification is a pressure valve from Lindsay. which again is easily reversed. When the car was purchased. I had documentation of the timing belt service being done at around 70k miles. Unfortunately. I have yet to find the folder. I am not aware of any mechanical issues. I drove the car to the Porsche Parade in Michigan with two adults. luggage & spirited driving. we attained 30+ mpg-Incredible!

I love driving this car. It's quiet. comfortable & solid. I rate the mechanics 9/10. Overall. a great example of a great Porsche model. As always. this car is 30+ years old & things can happen. but as of this writing. I would drive this car anywhere! Please write me if have questions or would like additional photos.
