Up for NO RESERVE auction!  1942 Ford GPW Jeep.  "Ford script" body and tires.  Ford script also on rear tow hook and tail lights.  Reconditioned/rebuilt on April 26. 1945 in Oakland. California as stated on glovebox data plate.  Original deactivated machine gun and gun mount. Extra parts include rear seat and seat cushions. a canvas top (no top bows). spare tire bracket and original Ford fuel filter canister.  Willys engine has very good

compression 

(130psi to 135psi) and starts well. but likely needs a new head gasket.  Recently started emitting white smoke out of tailpipe.  New spark plugs just installed.  

It is drivable in it's current condition and the emergency brake holds fine.


Last California owner of 15 years stated engine was rebuilt prior to his purchase in 2001. He drove the Jeep in a few parades.  Jeep has been mostly stored over the last 5 to 7 years and needs servicing.  Prior owner has a large collection of spare Jeep parts and an additional Ford Script Jeep.  Winning bidder will be supplied with prior owner's contact information.


Body serial number recorded on glovebox middle data plate is 14932 with April 3. 1942 date of delivery.  Frame is stamped GPW*135571.  

Very solid tub and frame.  

Clear California title.

The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges and fees from point of sale to the final destination. In addition. it is the buyer's responsibility to arrange & coordinate shipping. PRIOR OWNER STATES THAT MACHINE GUN WAS ASSEMBLED WITH PARTS TO ASSEMBLE WHAT LOOKS LIKE AN REAL MACHINE GUN. BUT IT'S ACTUALLY A REPLICA.  FOR OVERSEAS BIDDERS. THIS SHOULD MAKE IT EASIER TO EXPORT.
