The 1957 Ford Farilane Skyliner is a car of legend. It was the first year for Ford's daring short run of retractable hardtop convertibles. and so to present this rare and significant car in a correct and restored condition should make you just as excited as we are. And when it's at such an obtainable price. you should hurry.


Even without its attention-grabbing roof. this coupe/convertible is an attractive classic. It starts with a great color-coordinated package. The black and red two-tone alternate in cool ways like on the fender skirts. and the overall presentation is particularly stunning thanks to a recent paint application. The advantage of a modern professional respray with a deep clear coat is that you get the same luster you can get from your chrome. That's important on a '50s classic like this where there's a ton of brightwork. It looks particularly nice on this Skyliner because the main pieces. including the bumpers. bezels. and trim moldings have all have the shimmer of a proper investment. It all ends in a rear end that looks inspired by the original Thunderbird. and a continental kit for that extra long touch of class. Of course the power retractable hard top roof is the real reason why this is such a valuable classic. It was the engineering sensation of its time. as multiple motors make it look like the trunk is swallowing the roof whole.


Having the roof stowed not only is a cool process. but it also gives everyone a look at the amazing interior. The red and black return. and it's joined by pristine white accents. So you might have only thought the whitewall tires were a nice period-correct piece. but now you know they also help bring together the full interior/exterior colors. With such a thoughtfully well-coordinated package the interior should be worthy of awards all on its own. And just like the exterior. there has been a lot invested in keeping the inside looking it's best. The seats. door panels. and carpeting all have the unmistakable feeling of a thoughtful care. You slip behind the factory wheel and stare at the horizon-like speedometer this is truly superior classic motoring.


Underneath the sporty clamshell hood is the correct D-code 312 cubic-inch V8. Topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. it delivers smooth performance and plenty of torque to move the big coupe without working very hard. It has that great period-correct appearance. and the red black inside the black engine completes this full coordinating package. It has a fresh appearance that takes it back to the day it left the San Jose factory in '57 with features like the original-style radiator and the correct coolant bag. The two-speed automatic transmission. Fairlane's legendary soft suspension. and Coker reproduction whitewall tires on those correct Ford hubcaps all come together for a great classic cruising package.

We file all the necessary documents for export. deliver the car to a US port. secure it in containers and board an ocean carrier. We can land a vehicle to any port worldwide handling container traffic. We export cars regularly and are familiar with export requirements. You. or your agent. are responsible for Custom clearing the vehicle and registration in your own country.
