1971 BMW Other

A wonderfully kept 1971 BMW 2800 CS with leather interior. walnut wood trim. sunroof . power back windows. automatic transmission. original alloy wheels. full toolkit. AC . newer radials. original radio. all three factory keys. service records. paperwork. owners manuals. factory parts and service manuals and other books. Loving ownership since new. restored in 1988 and repainted in the original factory color of Sahara which is holding up extremely well with documentation from 1973 onward . 1st owner from 1970-74. 2nd doctor owned from 1974- 2004. Former BMW/ Saab store owned 2004-2008. present owner 2008-2016. This car runs very well and has been serviced by a local tech who was the personal mechanic of a major Ferrari collector .

The paint on this car on a 1- 10. ten being the best . would call it a 8 1/2 and I'm picky. there's a couple of rock chip type touch ups to the paint . The saddle tan leather front seats have been redone and are excellent . the backs are in very good condition since they are original with some creasing from age and use and a couple of slight seam splits to the tops. The carpets are in great shape and covered with vintage styled Coco mats. the headliner is in excellent condition as is the wood in the interior and dash. with just a few cracks on the wood speaker cover . The car comes with a period Nardi wood steering wheel but the original wood wheel comes with the car as do many new spare parts and some used parts.
The transmission was rebuilt in 2008 with all paperwork. over sized radiator installed. weber carbs. newer tires and battery. Engine work done . with timely service in the spring and fall.  new gaskets . rear diff. rebuilt . new wheel bearings. CV boots. shocks. etc. this car was only used on those perfect sunny days and is ready for your enjoyment .  The only items that will need attention in the future are . unroof felt weather seal. windshield wiper contacts need cleaned or replaced because if you hit a large bump they sometimes will make a sweep. AC needs serviced . a bit of oil drips when it sits for sometime . ome fine scratches to some of the aluminum trim strips and a few chips to one of the BMW side emblems. I think this car ranks in the top 10% of all vintage BMW of this model.   Engine purrs with no unwanted noises and the transmission shifts perfectly. drives and runs like it should with quite exhaust . The car is sold AS-IS with a clear Ohio title and all parts. paperwork . books etc. copy of the second owners stamped title with years of ownership goes to the new owner. I can help in shipping and can store the car for a few weeks after the sale until you arrange for transport.
