Video walk-around of this vehicle. engine bay. interior. sound. go to youtube and paste the following title into the search field:  1971 Porsche 914 GT (916 wide body)

Available for purchase is my 1971 Porsche 914 1. 7L with the 916 flares in exceptional condition. This meticulously maintained vehicle possesses matching numbers on engine. transmission. and chassis. comes with 40 years worth of service records and various OEM and 911 upgrades. This Porsche 914 has a *clear title* and 18. 00 on the dash (118. 00 on the title) and the engine has been fully disassembled out of the car and serviced within the last 1. 00 miles. running like new. Separate mechanics have inspected this vehicle and commended on its exceptional visual and mechanical condition. It's a clean car. and a driver's car. Needs nothing besides upkeep and proper care.

This is my personal vehicle and I am listing the pros. cons and a various documented upgrades below. The full folder of 40 years worth of service records are available with this vehicle.

Upgrades and modifications:

916 wide body 7'' front flares. 9'' rear flares.  1. 7 engine with various Porsche 911 upgrades (i. e. spark plugs. etc. wherever possible). 96mm big bore kit for 2 liter. New clutch. FI switched to dual carbs. exceptional throttle response and sound. Replaced tail shifter  with shoulder shifter. 5 lugg conversion with genuine Fuchs wheels.  Turbo tie rods. Various rubber parts replaced.

Recent services performed (with proof of records/maintenance):

Full electrical inspection. cleaning. and relay switch replacement. All electrical components in this vehicle function as they should - with the exception of the gas gauge. 100 miles ago. Fuel pump and fuel line replaced. engine cooling and fuel pressure assessed. 800 miles ago. Carb adjustment. plug cleaning. gas tank removal and cleaning. fuel filter replacement. distributor points and ignition timing adjusted. 1. 00 miles ago. All fluids. belts and hoses checked/changed. 2. 00 miles ago. Battery and battery harness replaced 2. 00 miles ago. e-brake cable adjustment. front wheel bearings adjusted and repacked. all four tires replaced and repair to speedometer cable and selector shaft cover seals. 2. 00 miles ago.  etc. etc.  Everything in this car functions exceptionally well for its age - brakes. transmission. engine. exhaust. electricals. fuel system. and so on. However. as it is a 45 year old vehicle. there are a few nuances:Getting into 1st gear is more successfully accomplished by first sliding the shifter forward. E-brake cable has been replaced but occasionally sticks. Additional rubbers could be replaced.  The only rust on the frame or undercarriage is in the hell-hole and no where else to my recent knowledge. The rear rubber bumper that sits above the chrome should be replaced soon but cosmetically looks fine. Driver's side seat has a small. 1-inch seam coming apart.  One lug-nut missing. (don't ask. I have no idea)Extremely solid car. exceptionally maintained. needs absolutely nothing. Pick it up and drive away.
Would love for it to go to a good home. but either way. it needs to go. We have a baby on the way. wife's peace of mind forces the sale. :-(
Thanks for looking.
