Steel work includes boxing in the frame. Solid steel reinforcement threw out the car. no death trap here.
Car is a 1988 Fiero Formula with 45k original miles.
Car is registered and insured as a fiero in California
The v6 engine runs great. Ive had it tuned up and changed the oil. No problems or leaks.
AC. AC works (rare on these cars) Ive replaced the compressor also. so its very cold AC.
All suspension was replaced with original new fiero equipment and coilovers in the rear. Even though its extremely low its rides well on good roads. Im a stickler for ride quality as I own BMW's and Range Rover. If you want even better ride maybe go with high end coilovers all around. Here in my area its fine.
POWER Windows work. I need to adjust the passenger side a little off track.
Doors open smooth and are very sturdy. Once again inside of the door is removable and needs finished with the inside.
I consider the inside needing total redone. even though I have put in seats and dash temporarily. Someone wanting to go for OEM will need to redo most everything. If you want it to be decent inside and just drive it. Id put a few thousand into covering the panels and installing it. Up to you.
Custom front lights. with HID. taillights have been converted to first year murci OEM lights. These are 2k on ebay.
I drive this car often in the inland empire. it does not sit. It has 3. 25 spacers on the rear and 1. 25 on the front. Ive had them on for 3 years with no problems.
I do not take it easy as far as driving. its not a real Lambo but I sure drive it like mad. Not hard on it but honestly I do it to FIND ANY PROBLEMS.
Of course there is small things here and there as its a kit car.
