This Volvo 244 Turbo is for the serious Volvo enthusiast!

Over $14000 has been spent on the car to get it to this standard.

It is a 1982 244. that has received a Turbo conversion. The engine is a B 230 ET. If you know your Volvos. you will realise that this means the engine is from the pre-unleaded era. and was the most powerful engine Volvo supplied before the 850 series Turbos in the 90 s.

Behind the engine is a beautiful M 46 4 speed manual plus Overdrive transmission that functions perfectly.

The following aspects of the car were upgraded in the conversion:

clutch upgrade to handle the extra power

brakes

suspension is firmed up all round

exhaust is 3" downpipe with 2. 5" through to the tailpipe. Turbo muffler. Sounds terrific. not too loud. but also allows you to hear all the great turbo wooshing etc.

rims are 15" Virgo alloys with powdercoated centres and polished outers

all electronics for the fuel injection have been professionally installed and look factory. The computer lives neatly behind the glovebox and does not intrude on interior space

Car has full compliment of gauges including oil pressure. oil temp clock and. of course. BOOST.

The Air Conditioning works perfectly and blows icy cold.

Brand new tyres all round.

Many other things have been replaced to bring the car up to scratch eg clutch master cylinder. engine mounts. new cam belt and tensioner. Two stage boost controller.

I have several Volvos and this one is a real HOOT to drive. The turbo cuts in early. and sounds awesome. It is very fast.
