'57 two door post. Low reserve
Yes. it looks dreadful but it's nowhere near as bad as it looks.
By way of comparison. the last photo is of a sport coupe currently on Ebay in the US for $7500 !
I've had the doors. boot. inner guards. front valance. radiator support panel and bonnet media blasted and one door has already been professionally repaired.
The body shell is still on the chassis and not yet blasted.
It will need a partial boot floor and. from memory front floor pans. The LHS rear quarter will need some work as can be seen.
The bottoms of the front guards need patch panels but they. like everything else for tri-fives. are readily available.
There is a mountain of parts (everything that came with the car) including seat frames
The front and rear bumpers were re-chromed in the USA last year before importation.
This is a project car. it has no motor or trans. It will need a lots of money thrown at it but aside from the minor rust issues it is a sold California car built late in '56 for the '57 model year.
I believe it is a Delray and was about the 25th car down the LA assembly plant.
I'm selling because I don't have either the time or room to work on it.
You are welcome to come and look at it in Gosford. It's stored in a container and can only be viewed Monday to Friday during business hours as it's in a Royal Wolf yard.
Yes. it comes with import approval papers and other historical documents.
You bid to buy. not look. DO NOT bid if this rebuild is beyond you. or if you have to seek permission from anyone.
Payment will be cash on pick-up in Gosford. NSW. A non refundable $500 deposit via Paypal will be required from the winning bidder after the auction. The balance within five days.
PLEASE NOTE: It was the 132 car down the line. not the 25th as previously stated (I just found the ID plate!)It was originally Imperial Ivory/Inca Silver exterior. charcoal/ivory interior. It is defined as a'Club Coupe' by way of the '1101A' on the i. d plate on the firewall. I still have it mind it is a Delray. but I just can't seem to figure out where I got that info'.
