Ford XA Fairmont K Code 351 Wild Violet XW XY XB XC XD XE XF GS GT 302 Falcon

Hi. I'm selling my restored 1973 xa K code fairmont. I'm moving overseas so unfortunately it has to go! Body: It is a K code (factory 351. c 4. 9 inch).

It was originally red with black interior. bucket seats and T bar auto. All rust was cut out and had plates seam welded in. The panels were then all lined up. blocked. primed then taken off the car and painted wild violet in 2 K separately. They were then fitted with new gold anadized bolts. The bonnet is a factory option. original GT. It also has a rare option of front quarter windows. The body is really straight and looks better and better the closer you get to it! Interior: Interior is original black fairmont. It has brand new plush carpet throughout (boot included). new rare spares full rubber kit and new kick panels. Seats are pretty good but they do have a few splits. wouldn't take much to make them mint. Battery is a new 750 cranking amp and is relocated to boot in a box.

Wheels. steering. suspension: Wheels are 15 x 8 Simmons V 5 that are in really good condition with near new tires. All ball joints. bushes. tie rod ends. spring saddles etc have been replaced. Power steering box and pump have been rebuilt. Brake master cylinder is new and callipers have been rebuilt.

Running gear: Engine is a fully rebuilt 450 plus HP 351 cleveland. Block has been bored/honed 20 thou oversize and zero decked. Crank is a standard 4 MAB. It has 302 6 inch re sized con rods that have ARP rod bolt fitted. Pistons are precision flat top hypereutectic pistols and Hastings Molly rings. All rotating assembly has been balanced. Cam is a crower solid flat tappet. P/N 15389 (246/250 duration 50. . 541/. 548 lift). liters are crowed solid. It has a rollmaster double row timing set. Crower hardened push rods. Heads are fully ported closed chamber 2 V with manly 1 piece 4 V valves. locks and retainers. Springs are comp camps. Intake is a weiand x cellerator with a holley HP 750 double pumper and 1 inch phenolic spacer. It also has a holley high volume mechanical fuel pump. high volume sump. new high torque starter motor. new polished alternator and water pump. Ignition is a full MSD set up with box. blaster coil and magnetic pick up dizzy. Radiator is a new big aluminium with a 16 inch thermo fan. Exhaust is pacemaker 4 into 1's with a twin 2. 5 inch system. Gearbox is a rebuilt C 4 with a B&M shift kit installed. it has a dominator 3000 stall converter and aluminium trans cooler. Diff is a 9 inch LSD. I have a new set of 3. 9 diff gears for it but they have not been fitted.

The car is really tidy and won't take much to make immaculate. The motor has only just been started and had the cam broken in so zero miles so far! I have been restoring this car over the past 4 years and have put a lot of time and money into it. This is a very regretfull sale. especially as i haven't even got to drive it yet!
