For sale one Austin A 40 Devon ute in very good condition but with no engine. gearbox or diff. etc. and one rusty A 40 Devon sedan as a chassis and mechanicals donor. The chassis that the ute was rolling on in the first three pictures is no longer complete. so you will need to take the old rusty sedan body off its chassis and use the sedan chassis and mechanicals under the ute cabin and tray. Ute and sedan chassis are the same. so the ute body will fit on the sedan chassis. The A 40 Ute:One of the best cabins you will find. Has been painted at some stage. with a very clean floor. Some surface rust on the edges of some of the panels. nothing major. One rust hole. in the very last picture. about the size of a fifty cent coin inside the bonnet where the bonnet hinges attach. easily repaired. The tray has surface rust on the steel frame and the panel work is just pop riveted on. Good clean dashboard and instruments. The steering column pictured in the ute pictures is no longer available. but the steering wheel is. The A 40 Sedan:The former owner says it was driven into the shed 20 years ago. but it was caught in the floods up in the Wagga Wagga area. so the floor is completely rusted out. The motor still turns over so it should go again. This sedan appears to be basically complete. so you should be able to transplant all its bits into the ute. Spares:Aluminum rear wheel spats for the ute A couple of spare wheels with tyres. in addition to the four good wheels and brand new tyres on the sedan. About a dozen grill pieces. A couple of enamel A 40 badges for the grill. A flying Austin wing emblem for the bonnet. A spare fuel tank. A spare diff complete drum to drum. Two headlights and two headlight buckets. Spare steering wheel. I've probably forgotten a few other bits and pieces that will also be included in the deal. Inspections and pick up from Seymour area Victoria. There is NO REGISTRATION. NO RWC and NO WARRANTY on either vehicle or the spare parts and NO RETURNS offered. Payment by bank deposit or cash. Any questions please call Geoff on 0411 623 217.
