Toyota Corolla 1974 KE20 2 Door 4 Speed Manual Classic Retro Vintage Sedan Coupe in Port Fairy, VIC

1974 Toyota Corolla. KE 20 model 3 k motor with 4 Speed Manual. 2 door sedan/coupe

Previous owner was an elderly gentleman who owned the car since new (7 th May 1974) before passing away. The car was then in storage and unregistered for a couple of years (last registered 2012) before I purchased it earlier this year. I am now expecting a baby at Christmas. so feel free to come and inspect before bidding.

EXTERIOR
No dents. dings. scrapes or damage to the body - very straight.
All lights work. all lenses have good colour and have no cracks.
Windscreen has no cracks or chips either.
Bumper bars have small amount of pitting but still straight and look fine.

The car has small amounts of surface rust and has a very small bubble (about 1/4 of the size of a 5 cent piece) in front of the passengers door. at the bottom of the guard. The car also has an area of bubbled paint across the front of the bonnet and a patch on the roof where the shed roof had been dripping while the car was in storage. The bubbles don't look to have any major rust under them. and are hard to see in certain light but I have included a photo to try and show some of their appearance up close. Overall seems to be free from any major rust that would require cutting out.

Paint is still bright and polished. but does have the usual stone chips down low on the front and sills. The exterior in this condition would be a solid base for an easy restoration or could be driven as-is and still look great.

INTERIOR
The interior is in excellent condition. all original but barely looks used and is almost perfect. The dash has no cracks or scratches. not many factory options but everything is there and in great condition. All stickers. paint and badges are in great condition. Lenses on the gauges are clear and scratch free. seats have no rips. tears or broken stitching. but front seats do have slight sun fading in the center. Has great condition black carpet (no holes) with new floor mats front and back and seat belts have no fraying. Has a new rubber gear shift boot (inner and outer) and new inner door pulls/handles. to aid in getting a roadworthy.

In the boot the floor mat is in great condition. with the original unused spare tyre in the boot. Still the original jack and tool kit including wheel chock. screw drivers and wheel brace in the Toyota case.

ENGINE & DRIVELINE
Previous owner always had the car serviced by Toyota Dealers. has original 'Toyota Service Warranty and Maintenance Booklet'. so genuine kilometers (72. 15 km) and well looked after.
Since I have owned it:
- It has recently had an oil and filter change
- New PBR rear drum brake wheel cylinders
- New spark plugs x 4
- New pinion seal and gaskets put in the diff (was leaking oil so they were replaced for roadworthy) so also has new diff oil
- Master cylinder was refurbished. and new brake fluid bled through the system.
- Good condition Delkor Calcium Battery

Tyres have about 75-80% tread. Engine runs well. gearbox shifts smooth and all brake pads. drums and discs appear to be as they should.

EXTRAS
As mentioned. it has the original 'Toyota Service Warranty and Maintenance Booklet'. but also has original "Corolla Owner's Manual" (dated 1973) and "AMI Booklet" (shows all authorised Toyota service points throughout Australia. dated 01/01/74). All booklets are in excellent condition and look as new as the day they were printed!

Overall a good. solid car in clean. original condition that presents very well for it's age. and I have tried to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible.
I have also attempted to bring the car up to a roadworthy state to make it easier for the next owner. but please note that it is unregistered and that I will be selling it without a roadworthy certificate. It runs and drives well so the purchaser should have no problems getting it home on an unregistered vehicle permit.

I reserve the right to end the auction early as it will be advertised elsewhere. Inspections are welcome. and encouraged. but please only bid if you intend to buy. Do not bid to inspect or if you don't have the funds to do so. Also not interested in swaps.

I would prefer cash on collection of the vehicle. but do accept Pay Pal if you are willing to pay the additional fees.

I have just had some extra photos requested and while taking them noticed a brush touched chip about the size of two 50 cent pieces just in front of the drivers side tail light. I wanted to clarify that photo showing the bubbled paint extends across the front of the bonnet and a few spots on the roof. I also wanted to reiterate that the car is straight without any dings. but the paint is not perfect so I do encourage inspection for yourself before bidding.
