 FOR SALE

A Morris Minor 1960 4 door sedan of very high calibre… Why pay 40K for an overpriced FJ FX holden ?

This Morris Minor is in tiptop condition. If you're looking for a prime example of a Morris Minor for yourself. the good woman. or perhaps for your daughter's 18th… (hey… picture the chic entrance at uni as she rolls into the campus with this white-delight…).

By prime example. I mean a top-class runner with no issues for you… (Especially if it is being gifted to another person… the last thing you want is to be fixing it up all the time…)

Let's look at this car… and I might add. this is priced to be SOLD quickly… the price it is listed at is below its real value…  The moolah has been spent… It is YOU who reap the rewards…

It is a well-kept original 1960 F 4 door Morris Minor sedan.

1. Rust  this is a rust free shell that has all its original panels and no recent repairs that might rear their head later . Three small surface spots which could be covered up but we would like her to be honest.

2. A well-executed paint job… only 5 years old…  The panel-fit is a wonder to behold… no dodgy multi-levels and gaps here !!!  Come and check it out !!

3. The interior trim is amazing… all new and immaculate. A new original pattern-trim ex UK to the original colour.    All new carpet.     Seriously… you're gonna have to come round to see this !!!

4. What about the drive train?… This model has the very tasty 948cc engine… no awful 803 engine… or worse. a 915 plonker… with all their weirdo expensive parts.    The ubiquitous 948 is used in many cars and all parts are a snap to get… all cheap too… not like the 803.    Clutch replaced last year… the later remote-stick gearbox was rebuilt using all NOS parts and synchros  (NOS = NewOldStock to the uninitiated. ie new real old-school parts not repro).   The later gearbox is also WAY better than the early “pudding-stirrer”… The diff is also rebuilt … as you know . the diff (far from being a tagalong) is often an expensive problem…. Not here !!!

5. So… what's the history of this gem?  The history is that it originally came from low rain fall area  in South Africa direct to WA.   It has been here 20 years. When my son was born we need a four door car so  I was looking for an already restored car but despite the huge dollars spent they were rubbish to drive so we bought this straight original car and it has been a daily driver ever since it was refurbished at that time  It has never been crashed… it is completely original.   As to drive-ability… “this is the best little Morrie you've driven” its not the product of some recent resto that no one wants to drive.

 6. BRAKES… uh-oh !!!… brakes on pommy cars are notoriously bad… especially for today's driver used to cars that stop on a sixpence… (5 cents to you)….   But wait !!!  There's MORE GOOD NEWS !!. The brakes are FAB… they are DISC BRAKES….   All fully rebuilt too with silicon fluid.   Oh yeah… character. style and sixpence-stopping… Surely there can't be more good stuff?

BUT WAIT… there's more…

7. The electrical is superb too!!!  Australian made octagon braided loom. All new and re-wired…

Rego in WA… ready to roll out your driveway… king (or queen… or princess) of the road… Your wallet stays intact…. an FJ Holden to this standard would set you back 40G…

Vintage motoring at its finest.  Get yourself round here tout de suite and check this baby out.
