Alfa Romeo 168 Sports PLUS 164 auto PLUS lots of extras

For sale are two Cars: An Alfa 168 Custom 5 Speed manual and an Alfa 164 auto. included: -Workshop manuals 1x mechanical. 1x Electrical. -Workshop CD manual. -Owners manuals x 2. -Complete sets of normal and extra lowered suspension springs. -Extra set of 16x7". Straight. Milano Sport rims. -Spare expansion tank. new. -Spare ignition leads. -High performance ECU chip. (never used) -Original tool kit. The automatic white 164 is complete. running. but unlicensed. It is therefore known as "The Organ Donor' Car. Having this second car makes this purchase very attractive because of the availability of parts and the cost of them. The white paint is faded. interior leather seats are hard but functional. As I have swapped or transplanted parts I've made sure the car is still movable under it's own power. The 168 is a rebadged 164 from the Asian (HK) market back in the '90s. The number 164 was deemed unlucky . and the '8' was a very lucky. or prosperous number. Well that's how I believe the story goes. So this 168 is very rare in Australia. The 168 was automatic but now has a GTV6 5 speed gearbox. Ratio's have been altered to make it quick off the line and long at high speeds. The engine. 3 litre. 12 valve injected. has seen a complete teardown and rebuild. All gaskets replaced. new valves. valve seats and springs. head shaved. slightly more aggressive cams. all hoses renewed (some braided). Pod filter added. Cruise control added and integrated into the steering wheel. Exhaust is 3" all through. with a highflo Cat. (This has been bandaged as it has some deterioration). Extractors are standard. The exhaust note is HUGE and sounds excellent. It shows off the power of this car. Suspension has been lowered with progressive rate springs. and adjustable gas shocks installed to the front. 205/50/HR16 front. 225/50/HR16 rear. tyres are 6 months old. All window are tinted. drivers window tint has a mark. MOMO sports steering wheel. Custom made dash mat. Alfa 164 floor mats. Remote door lock and alarm arming. A spare pushbutton fob supplied. The door lock barrels have been replaced the tube key locks. (a screwdriver cant be jammed into them to open the doors). The original locks are supplied. Stereo is an Alpine CDA 7892E CD receiver with flip face and the ability to time delay all out puts for the drivers position. Main Amp is a Schneider SPA-9705 . 800 Watt. 4 channel amp. Rear speakers are Schneider 16x9. front has 6" splits. with tweeters in adjustable domes on the doors. There is an RCA cable input installed for an external media player. phone etc. Electric antenna. The Front seats are covered in deep pile. West Australian sheep skin. I'm over 6 foot so I've modified the drivers seat to be softer so I sit lower. The seats are electric. and in typical Alfa fashion these can sometimes require a knock with a blunt instrument to wake up. The electric sunroof makes the roof lining lower. and works all the time. Climate control works well. but rear demister doesn't. Child seat restraining point. There is a removable tow point. with a cable tucked in the boot. This is hung over the boot seal when required. I completely restored this car so I could use it as my Wedding car in 2014. There are now a few paint chips. and the occasional scuff. It's a car from 1989 so it's not perfect. but pretty good. I'm always getting asked questions about it. It's great fun to drive and needs "An Italian Tune Up' every so often. (A very aggressive run. ) Until recently I've been using it as my daily driver. I bought an Alfa 159 Ti. Fuel economy of 12 L/100 km. if you drive quietly.
