Up for auction is this 1962 Chevrolet long bed pickup truck. This is a very solid Californian truck that has a rebuilt 350 engine with less than 6000 miles on it. It is fitted with an Edelbrock carb. HE ignition and headers. It also has a new battery. new alternator and a four core radiator. It is backed by a rebuilt TH 700 R 4 trans with less than 400 miles on it. The shifter is a new Lokar unit. Front suspension has been rebuilt and has dropped spindles and power disc brakes. Rear end is standard with new lowered coil springs. It has a near new dual exhaust. new chrome rims and new wide whitewall radials. The truck has a Pioneer sound system. cold air conditioning and power steering. The truck also comes with new stainless steel bed strips. The paint is Hot Rod Flatz midnight blue. The truck could use the seat redone ( it is red under the Mexican blanket ) . the brake pedal is a little soft ( I've narrowed it to the front brakes but have not found the reason yet )and the bed needs new wood ( the wood in it is solid but a home done job ). It also needs a new LH window regulator but I will supply a new one with the truck. The truck drives really nice and very smooth. This is a really cool cruiser and gets great mileage with the overdrive trans. The truck is located in West Heidelberg and inspections are welcome. Good luck.
