1951 OLDSMOBILE "98" Convertible

This is the rare 98 series convertible which shares the same main body with Cadillac of the same year

The car has nice patina and could be recommissioned and used as is

The engine runs well, however the brakes will need attention due to long term storage

Oldsmobile introduced the "Rocket" OHV V8 303 cu in in 1949 and it became the choice engine for many Hot Rods of the 1950s

The Olds looks like a "custom" straight from the factory and is extremely rare which makes it an ideal alternative to a Cadillac, Buick, Pontiac, Chevy of the period or a 49 -51 Mercury

The Olds has a cleaner sportier look than the Cadillac of the same year.

Original Vehicle ex -ARIZONA 1951 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible – excellent original survivor and an easy restorer

The car is from Arizona  so the body is straight & sound with the right amount of patina

303 Olds Rocket V8 Automatic. Engine runs well.

Power windows & seat. Power top.

The body is unrestored and EXCELLENT original condition, with EXCELLENT Panel Fit. Very minor localised rust in floor – possibly due to leaking under seat heater otherwise excellent body

The car appears to be complete from original air cleaner to hubcaps. If there is anything missing it will be minor.

Needs cosmetic restoration only given the sound condition of the body.

It is very difficult to find any original convertible which is 65 years old in such original unmolested condition with excellent factory panel fit and almost zero rust - virgin metal

Given the rarity and value of this model in the USA it would be unlikely that this vehicle could be imported at the present time for the  price of  $ 39,999 OBO
