XR Falcon Coupe

This Coupe has undertaken a few changes and is a great representation of the classic USA Ford 1966 Falcon coupes. This has been owned by the same owner for nearly 20 yrs and is in good condition for 46 years on the planet. This 67 is one of only 7. 53 originally produced.

This is the coupe us Aussies didn't make but we all wanted one to own. This is not Showroom vehicle. but is done to a very good standard all the bodywork looks very honest and paint work is in great condition. Come look for yourself. ask for photos!

The Facts:

Built on the 29 th Dec 1966 in the Kansas City Ford Plant. came out in Beige Mist Metallic. Cloth Pastel Parchment interior. 62 A - Bucket Seats. 200 (120 HP) T Code. C 4 Auto. with a axle ratio: 3. 10:1. I found the Coupe in sunny California from the long term owner that had done all the work since the 80's.

Body:

All the panels line up well with right gaps all around and no signs of rust. The paint is in good condition and I would comfortably rate it 8-9/10. The paint was done this year and panel work was done to a good standard.

A new black vinyl top was also installed in 2013.

The body looks straight with a few very small imperfections in the paint if you're looking hard. The last owner made the customer Cowl hood and it's been done well in all metal. All the glass looks fine without any marks or blemishes. all windows are covered in dark tint. All of the bright trims are in tack and show very nice with a polish. The bumpers are colour coded bumpers and are also in great condition.

Interior:

Almost original condition. the previous owner accented dash panel with Electric Blue highlights. The instrument panel is in working condition. with new under-dash Temp & Oil Pressure gauges. Has a Grant chrome steering wheel with functioning horn. All lights. switches. whippers work as they should. The seats are out of a 2003 Mustang that has been adapted to fit. The carpet shows up great and looks new with no blemishes. All the windows operate flawlessly from open to close. It has a working aftermarket stereo in the dash with the original removed (???) also speakers installed in the rear parcel shelf.

It also features a sun roof that is in very good working condition. I have to say the sunroof is kinda cool pop'ed up hearing the V 8 in the background.

Engine & Trans:

This is where it gets interesting This coupe has been upgraded to a lovely 351 Cleveland V 8. with all the performance parts you'd want.

(30 TRW Pistons. CR Cam & Lifters. Scorpion Rollers. The Clevo stars easy and runs well at all revs. the 2. 5” dual exhaust gets that crisp. deep clevo note. Brand new 600 Edelbrock 4 Barrel with Hi Flow Intake. Dual timing gear. MSD Ignitions wires. ally high/flow water & oil pump. Hooker Headers and 2. 5” system from headers to tail pipes.

Still running with factory original power steering that operates fine. This coupe has

rebuilt c 6 trans with 2400 stall converter / manual shift valve body / B&M shifter . no leaks and nice clean fluids. The B&M shifter is a tad difficult to operate and seems like he's got it setup backwards.

diff is

9” with mini spool 3:00 gears in it now but have a new set of 4:11 that go with the car.

Fatmat sound deadiner from firewall to trunk / por 15 rust preventer was sprayed on the complete under carriage cabin area engine bay ( have pics )

New Crager SS rims rear 14 x 8. 5 fronts 14 x 6 / new BF Goodrich TA radials rears 245 x 60 x 14. fronts 215 x 60 x 14. All new weather stripping throughout the car.
