For sale is my 1974 Datsun 260 C which I've owned since 2007. I'm selling it as I simply haven't had time to enjoy it over the last couple of years & it's a shame to see it not being used. It's not a show car. nor is it prestine. it is however a straight. solid & reliable car. It was originally sold to Mr. John Thomas in Bacchus Marsh Vic who bought it because his P 76 'was too bloody fast'. It was kept garaged & had only 85. 00 km when I bought it & has always been garaged since.
Mr & Mrs Thomas had no children hence the interior is in excellent condition except for some carpet wear in the driver's footwell. . I have the original service book & the original cross ply spare tyre is still in the boot. Please refer to the photos as part of the description. It's on NSW Club Rego which is not transferable so will be sold unregistered. UPGRADES:Originally fitted with 'three on the tree' & bench seat I've made the following upgrades to make it more user friendly. Twin SU's Extractors & 21/2" exhaust [not loud though]Electronic Distributor Tinted Windows Toyota Camry bucket seats 5 sp gearbox 3. 9 ratio diff [originally 4. 1]Lowered suspension. King springs front. extra leaf in the rear Full brake o/haul one year ago. New front wheel bearings 18 mths ago. Clarion Stereo with USBTHE BAD NEWSThe gearbox bearings are on the way out. Some paint blemishes & surface rust hear & there. mainly around the radiator panel.
SPARESWith the Datto will come a spare set of doors & the original 4. 1 diff centre.
I'm happy to answer any questions & recommend inspection before bidding. I hope to see it go to a good home & not to some peckerhead that's going to butcher it or God forbid put a rotary in it. Please ignore the $7. 60 postage crap.
