Current customer rating:
To the best of my knowledge there were 2176 of these cars built. A copy of the marti report will be provided to the buyer but here is the gist of it.
9-1969 H- built at lorain 16- Cyclone CJ 2 door fastback R- 428-4 V Cobra Jet Ram Air engine 6043 xx- consecutive unit number 63 H-Cyclone CJ 2 door fastback W -yellow paint Ford #3120-A CA- black vinyl bucket seats 10 F- scheduled for build june 10 1969 A 6- western canada DSO A- 3:50 conventional axle U- C 6 automatic trans Option list: -courtesy lights -F 70 X 14 wide oval tires -ram air induction -console -power front disc brakes -power steering . -am radio decor group -deluxe belts/warning light -colour keyed racing mirrors -heavy duty battery -tachometer First off. this will not be an easy restoration.
This car has major rust and you will have to have lots of skill to bring it back. It will need front floor pans with tunnel and frame rail. The RF frame rail and bottom of rad saddle. The battery tray and metal underneath it. I welded in some reinforcing on the front frame rails to give it some strength.
The drivers rear rail is rotted as well as the metal under the tailights where the rear bumper bolts on. It will need work on the trunk drop offs. The drivers rocker will need to be replaced. The front fenders and quarters should be replaced. The doors might be salvageable. The hood and trunk lid were replaced at some point. The drivers door is probably original since the data plate matches the dash vin plate. On top of all this it will need the usual interior work like seats recovered and headliner. Both door windows need to be re-glued. The windshield is ok.
The original engine is long gone there is either a 302 or 289 2 bbl under the hood and it runs good-no smoke or noise. The trans is a C 4 auto. It still has an N case 9 inch diff that appears to be open.
This car does run drive and stop. The power steering works. The tach and all the gauges work including the aftermarket ones. It does have all the trim. The wheels appear to be original as they are yellow under the hubcap.
I am sure that I have missed some stuff so feel free to ask any questions. The car is located in Edmonton Alberta Canada. I can assist with transport as long as you line it all up.
Good luck bidding.
