1980 SAAB 99 2 door 4 speed stick

second owner. nice original yellow paint

engine just rebuilt. water pump. timing chain . uide. tensioner. ront & rear seals. standard rod bearings.

head pressure tested. resurfaced. new guides. valves ground. new gaskets. flywheel resurfaced. transmission seals replaced.

while engine & trans were out: all A-arm bushings inspected & deemed good. brake master & booster replaced. new alt belt. compartment degreased. radiator cleaned & flushed. new rad fan sensor. new coolant. new rad cap. all hoses inspected & good. motors mounts solid also.

clutch master. hose & slave. pressure plate. disc & T/O bearing all good.

trans shifts smoothly & syncros good. engine oil & filter & trans oil just changed of course.

all CV boots inspected & are excellent. ball joints & tie rods solid.

suspension & shocks solid. brakes good.

parking handbrake weak. exhaust good with glass pack muffler.

Car is in original paint.

NO accident damage EVER. NO structural rust.

all gauges. lights & electrics work ( except clock. trunk light. rear defogger & odometer ).

radio & antenna removed but console remains in place.

new battery. alternator & starter work as they should. original untouched wiring good. New PPG USA made windshield just installed. both doors & windows work properly as hood release. 1/4 windows & trunk do also.

bumpers very good. interior very clean. seat upholstry & carpets excellent & original. seats slide easily. headliner material removed & board painted black.

CIS fuel injection works properly & no leaks. fuel pump strong. plastic fuel tank.

EMS steering wheel installed & horn button moved onto dash.

EMS tachometer works properly. speedo works except mileage odometer.

jack. handle & lug wrenck in trunk with spare.

shop manual & glove box manual (1978) included.

two front tires very good. rears only fair (all 4 are 165/15 Vedestien Sprint radials).

front grille & bezels very good.

some surface rust from rock chips on hood. roof & sides.

minor surface rust at trunk lid corner. driver's door belt line & passenger side windshield base.

This car is a very solid & clean daily driver with 34 year old original paint that still shines nicely.

It always gets compliments & appreciation by both passerbys and SAAB owners.

car sold new in Washington State & always remained here.

I am selling it for a like SAAB enthusiast friend who is the second owner & can no longer drive a stick shift car.
