Plymouth : Other Special Deluxe

This is the last time this will be listed. If it doesn't sell. it will be parted and crushed. I bought this only because it was in such nice condition. I am a Ford/Mercury person. but at the time I just couldn't pass on it. (part of a package deal).

I know me. and if it stays. I will just spend more money on it. You all KNOW  how that is. I have a 460 maverick and a 1964 Marauder I want to finish and I do not need this temptation. This car HAS NO TITLE. It will come with a bill of sale. To my knowledge. and given the condition. I believe the mileage to be possibly actual. The Original 6 cylinder had a rod through the side of the block and was scrapped. The original trans sold to a man restoring a 48. Still has the original rear end.

The body is VERY NICE for a 60 + year old car. The interior is even still surprisingly intact. The only bad spots in the car to my knowledge is the bottom of the spare tire well. and part of the driver's side front floor. Frame looks good. most everything underneath looks good and solid (with the exception of part of the driver's side front floor). Doors and trunk open as they should. and look to be in good solid condition.

The rear tires and wheels pictured do NOT go with the car.   Rear fenders had been cut . but would need finished. I had planned to go 1 of 3 ways with it. (1)Build a Gasser. with straight axle) (2) keep the front suspension (upgraded to discs & possibly coil overs) and build a Bracket Car. (or(3) do the same suspension wise. and build a Moonshine Runner appearing Ride just for fun).

If the car should sell for the listed start price. I will include a good running 440 Big Block (minus carb. ) and 727 Torque-Flite Trans. It came from a good friend's Street Rod when He upgraded to a Hemi. I will also include (should the buyer want it) a Ford 9 inch housing.

This car can easily and relatively cheaply be upgraded to disc brakes on the front end and I can supply that information.

I REALLY HATE to let this one go. it would be a FUN one to build. But I have to be realistic. and at the ripe old age of 60 give in to the fact that I am not going to be able to do everything I would like to.

I will require a $500. 00 deposit at the end of the auction with balance to be paid in full within 5 days by Cashier's Check. Money Order or cash. I will supply Bill of Sale at the time car is paid in full. Car can SAFELY sit here until the 4th of July if necessary. If buyer is getting the 440 and trans. I will need 3 days advance notice to get it out of the back of the garage. BUYER MUST TAKE CARE OF (HANDLE) ANY AND ALL SHIPPING DETAILS AND PAYMENTS. I am willing to help load if necessary. Car does roll easily.
