RUNS AND DRIVES REALLY AMAZING !!!

1970 Pontiac Firebird with a very nice running " 455 Engine " Code # Y8. Casting #500813.   only in production from 1973 - 1976) . YES. this 1970 Pontiac Firebird (VIN # 224870N124504) runs a 1976 Pontiac "455" (CODE # Y8. Casting #500813) with Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 three-speed automatic transmission !!! Engine was built / rebuilt for Racing around 4 years ago and may be only 1000km driven since. estimated 550 HP. NEVER BEEN RACED. plans changed (health issues and they closed "Race City" here in Calgary anyway three years ago). NO known internal Engine spec's. bought it myself as an unfinished car !!! INTERIOR is back in the car. everything is there. except orig. front seats. dash was replaced with a used one and has a little crack on top. door panels need work. no stereo. no heater system at all ("Race Car"). but have most of the orig dash inserts and face plate. cluster is still original ( shows 15000mls). headliner in really good shape. also carpet. rear seats and panels. front seats. steering wheel and dash panel are NOT original. but in good shape. has a brand new shift kit. console not installed yet. BUT EVERYTHING WORKS GREAT !!! EXTERIOR is in fair shape for the year. lower rear 1/4's have a little visible bondo under the really old paint job. trunk pan inside as well. trunk lid is rusty inside on the edges. driver's floor pan has a cutted out area around 20cm X 20cm and put back a peace of sheet metal with pop rivets only. everything else is really solid. doors. rockers. roof are in very fair shape. all glass in good shape. new windshield. really old paint job with a few dents. scratches and repainted areas (see the pictures). no key for the locks. but comes with a complete used door lock set with keys. POWERTRAIN. /u> . I do NOT have the original Powertrain !!! . and again. there are NO known internal Engine spec's on the "455". but has a high rise intake manifold with brand new Holley 750 Carb. new  starter. distr. kit. plugs + wires. valve covers + gaskets. air filter asm. . fluids. filters. belts. etc. . etc. . etc. . just to much to list and really ready to go !!! Has a starter switch and ignition ! NO POWER STEERING AND NO POWER BRAKES. A REAL MEN CAR !!! OTHER SPECS . nbsp;turbine wheels with really good 225/50/R15 and 295/50/R15 tires. traction bars (. you need them !!!). custom built side pipe exhaust with mufflers. headers. brakes. steering. front and rear end in good shape and ready to roll without any vibrations. nbsp;thousands of dollars invested in parts and labour !!!

By the way. there was a brand new out of Province / out of Country Inspection done in April 2012 and it RUNS AND DRIVES REALLY GREAT !!!

 And again. the car came orig. from the US in Michigan 5 years ago. so there shouldn't be no problem at all to imported back to the US !!! 

So. whatever you want to do. restore the car. or bring it back to original. or just drive like it is. don't forget. this Firebird
