Dodge : Monaco deluxe for sale
Current customer rating:
This is a 3 owner 1969 Dodge Monaco . 6 passenger station wagon in very nice original condition. It lived most of its life in Michigan. was sold to its second owner in Colorado and I flew into Denver in July. 2013 and drove it home to Canada. 1100 miles door to door at 75 mph without any problems in 90 degree heat. It has 80. 00 original miles and has the numbers matching drivetrain. The body was DOUBLE undercoated when it was new and it was obviously well cared for. Some minor rust/repainting was handled by the previous owner on a couple of lower body areas. The woodgrain and majority of the paint are original. All of the glass ( all tinted). bumpers. roof rack. chrome trim and rubber seals are in very good condition. The interior is in great shape from front to back. The headliner. dash pad. controls. upholstery and carpet are all very nice. It has a 383 hi-performance 4-barrel ( Carter AFB) engine with the hi-flow exhaust manifolds and new dual exhaust and a 727 Torqueflite trans.
8 3/4 rearend. NO sure grip with 2:73 gears. It has power brakes and power steering with AC. The fuel tank was removed. cleaned and serviced with a new sending unit. It has a new battery. shocks. master cylinder. brake cylinders/shoes. 4 new tires. belts. left rear axle bearing and seal. ball joints and a new idler arm. Most of the work was done when I got the car home and It was done by a true MOPAR specialist/mechanic who has been in the business for 35 years. His work is impeccable. The power steering pump has also been rebuilt. The carb has a slight hesitation and a rebuild is in order. The AC is not working and needs a complete servicing and repair. The bearing in the AC compressor was also starting to make noise before I parked it for the winter. That is the only significant problem the car has. The paint and wood grain have some scuffs and patina from its 45 years. but it is very nice overall. It is a pleasure to drive. especially on the highway. Very smooth. quiet and powerful. I am reluctant to sell it but could use the money for my A 12 '69 Road Runner. It does have a higher reserve and it is for sale locally. It is a fairly rare piece of American automobile history and few come up for sale. Don't miss out on a great opportunity! Thank you.
