This is a 1968 Dodge D 200 Sweptline. 3/4 ton rear wheel drive pickup. From what I could research. this color was used on Forrest Service trucks back in the mid to late 60's. Original paint. dents. dings. and mostly surface rust. Interior has brand new correct floors (old ones were mostly gone). New black rubber mat and seat was recovered recently with a neutral color cloth. New sun visors and gas pedal. New windshield. Everything else on the interior is original. down to the AM radio (doesn't work). Under the hood is the original 383. previous owner put a 4 Bbl intake and dual exhaust. other than that it is stock. New kingpins and brakes. Brand new 16. 5 inch powder coated rims and brand new tires with less than 50 miles on them. Truck has manual steering and power brakes. Far as I can tell. rear end is the original 4. 10. 4 speed has a granny gear. so basically you drive it 2 nd to 4 th! Purchased this for my wife as she loves old Dodge trucks. but this is too much for her to handle. It starts right up. excellent oil pressure. and runs cool even in the AZ heat. All the lights and gauges work. the horn does not. Has two aux fuel tanks still in the bed as this is a "Camper Special". All of the plumbing needs to be replaced to make them operable again. They are sealed up. Looking for a good home for "Charlie". We just don't drive him enough to warrant keeping him. This truck will snap your head back if you get on it. amazing how that big block can move this truck! Underside of the truck is solid. no rot or rust other than the floors. which were replaced as mentioned earlier. Frame is in excellent shape. We decided it would be better just to leave it mostly original. as you just don't find these trucks in this kind of shape very often. plus a factory big block!
