1953 Mercedes 300 Adenaur. project vehicle with rust.
Vehicle does not run. engine possibly seized and we did not remove radiator to attempt to break it loose.
Vehicle has been sitting since the mid 1960's in a farmer's field in Arkansas.
We did put vehicle on a lift and free up wheels where they will roll.
We also removed valve cover to attempt to turn engine from camshaft bolt. camshaft will move slightly taking up tension. but crankshaft does not move.
As seen in pictures. top of cylinder head is remarkably clean.
We drained the engine oil. and it was pure engine oil - dark but DID NOT have water contamination in it and no metal or other residue came out with the oil.
Vehicle does not have front bumpers. but appears to be otherwise complete with a lot of parts stored in the trunk.
Still has intact spare tire and Bilstein jack.
Seat upholstery and headliner are ratted out.
The wood dash pieces appear salvageable - missing finish but should be able to be reworked. refinished.
No title for this vehicle. consider it a parts car. We will include a bill of sale.
Buyer responsible for pickup of vehicle and arrangement of shipping.
There are a lot of parts on this car that would cost thousands if not tens of thousands to buy so it will be well worth many times the minimum bid in parts. We are an auto repair shop that specializes in German vehicles.
