1967 Dodge Coronet 500

History

The Coronet was a full-size car from Dodgein the 1950 s. initially the division's highest trim line but. starting in 1955. he lowest trim line. In the 1960 s. the name was transferred to Dodge'smid-size entry.

Coronet received a redesign in 1966. and afacelift in 1967. Trim levels initially were base Coronet. Coronet 440 and Coronet 500. Beginning in 1967. Chrysler decided that the Hemi should beavailable only in their badged muscle cars: the Dodge Charger and Coronet R/Tand the Plymouth Belvedere GTX. The top engine option for the rest of the Coronet line was supposed to be the 383 ci 4 bbl V 8. Despite this. some Hemi-powered 1967 Coronet Deluxe two-door sedans were produced.

The previous owner of this beautiful Mopar bought the car from its original owner. in 1998. The car was raced in Detroit at local drag strips in the stock category. which means the car is very original. The door jambs and fender tag show original paint. This car was shown at the 50 th Anniversary Autorama.
