Ford : Mustang 2 door

 Hello. You are bidding on a 1965 mustang convertible. Came originally with 289 4 speed ragoon red with white/red interior. Car was built on February 25th 1965. DSO was Philadelphia. a. Axle was a 6 =2. 80 ratio. Body style is 76A standard interior. Mileage says 48908 but one would think 148908. Previous owner had new torque boxes. inner rocker rails and floor pans installed.  Since then. the floor pans have rusted through. A one piece floor would do the job and needs the lower support pans under the seat area. The rails and boxes are still in great shape. The quarter panels are still original and need to be placed. Trunk pans and trunk drop offs are showing some small rust areas. Frame rails in the back near the springs have the usual bubbled rust. Taillight panel looks nice and original. Doors have the front corner rust but they are not at all rusted on the bottom. All four windows roll up and down. Front fenders are good reproductions. They seem to fit pretty good. They have never been painted. Hood is ford original with no rust but does have some small dents in the front top. Hood opens and closes nicely. There is no rust in the inner aprons of the engine compartment and they are original. Front frame rails have no rust at all and the front bumper bracket bolts turn freely into the frame rail. Here is the plus on this car. New dynacorn cowl panel top and bottom. $385. 00 at CJ'S pony parts. Installation was $1250. 00. This a huge and expensive job that you will not have to deal with. The trunklid has zero rust underneath but someone did cut the keyhole area out to get it open. I would guess they lost the keys. Pretty sad when you can just go through the opening in the well liner area. Car does have new repo front and rear valances. Four matching tires with great tread. Does have a 65 289 engine but it is not original to car. Will need rebuild and is not complete. There is a 65 3 speed trans behind the 289 with no shifter. Trans looks to be in nice condition. The rear is the 2. 80 ratio. Car rolls and steers easily. Manual top. The front and rear seats are in excellent condition. I mean not only the upholstery but the bottom frames. Most of you know how rusted these get. The seat tracks are like new on the front seats. The car is missing the front and rear lights that fit into the valances. No radiator. The title is in my name and there are no liens or problems with it. I have the original door data plate. The convertible top frame moves freely and easily up and down.
