1964 ½ Mustang Convertible

Exterior

Body overall is good with only a few small dents found in the body.   Paint presents well. some spots where chips have been touched up can be found.   Paint on trunk is starting to show age.   Glass is crack free but windshield has scratches from passenger wiper.   Plexiglass rear window is cracked down the middle.   Top has one small split on the passenger side.   Front bumper shows some light scratches and has a few minor bends underneath. rear bumper is in good shape.   Stainless in good shape with the exception of corner pieces by top at rear – pieces are bubbling.   Lights and lenses are free from damage.

Interior

Seats are clean and free from damage.   Carpet is relatively clean. passenger floor is stained from leaking heater core (which does not appear to be leaking any longer).   Inside of top is worn and cracked in spots.   Dashboard is cracked at center.   Drivers door panel shows marks at the lower portion.

Mechanical

Engine starts easily and runs smoothly.   Transmission shifts as it should. no surprises from suspension or manual brakes.   There is a slow oil leak at the rear of the engine. power steering will grind when wheels are turned almost fully.   Body VIN stamping was difficult to photograph. does match door tag.

This is a good solid example of an early convertible Mustang.

California. where it is available for inspection. This vehicle. and all vehicles sold through us are sold AS-IS with no warranty intended or implied by the California Automobile Museum or its consignor/donor. All sales are final. and in there is no cooling off period in California. By bidding. you acknowledge this and agree your purchase will be AS-IS.

This Vehicle's mileage is subject to increase as it may be test driven or inspected during this auction.  

All sales will include a California Title and Bill of Sale unless otherwise stated. A Warranty Disclaimer will also be provided to be signed.

All purchased vehicles must be removed from the museum within 2 weeks from auctions end or storage fees of $10. 00 per day will be applied. (unless written arrangements for additional time have been agreed to by the Vehicle Sales Department)

The Museum is open 7 days a week. 10 AM to 6 PM (excluding major U. S. holidays) and we welcome you or your representative to inspect the vehicle (by appointment only) prior to purchasing or bidding.
