The vehicle must be picked up within 14 days of auction close (unless prior arrangements are made). Only bidders from USA and Canada. no overseas shipping. I will help load the vehicle but full shipping costs is responsibility of the auction winner. Im located about 20 min from the Toronto airport (YYZ).
Now on to the vehicle. I bought this car off a friend of mine a year ago. He had it sitting for about a year and had a few cars so I bought it from him. I have been driving it since spring. It runs and drives and operates great. I just installed a new dual master and booster as the original master failed a few weeks ago. The original part will be included if you wish to rebuild it. The engine is a 401 nailhead and is the 410 Wildcat option and factory specs put it at 285 hp and 410 tq. It has had a top and rebuild and painted. this was done by the owner before my friend bought it. It also has an auxiliary electric cooling fan wired to inside the car. New battery this spring is an Optima Yellow Top. Brakes shoes are nearly new and finned drums are in great shape. All pads like new. one rear pad at half wear. Brakes work awesome. locks them up no problem. This is a power steering and power brake car and the power steering also works great and no leaks. The generator has been replaced with an alternator and all new belts installed. The original generator comes with the car as well. Also included is a oem 4 barrel manifold. and fender skirts not installed. The exhaust is a side exit and is a Flowmaster. Engine starts and runs great. Transmission shifts well. All the following work: the signals. horn. wipers. washers. low beam and high beam. wipers. washers. blower motor. aftermarket radio wired in under dash (original there but not working not sure if it does never tried it). and windows and vent windows crank. Oil light works. As stated above speedo not working so true mileage unknown. however cable is disconnected from inside dashboard so perhaps it was done to keep odometer low but havent checked it. This car has Full Air Tech air ride installed with remote control. so you can control if from outside the vehicle (has a decent range) or inside the car from the control panel. The original interior as pictured is ripped in a few places. drivers side being the worst. SMS auto fabrics sells the exact material to re do this if you want to keep it original. The car also sports its original paint and was never winter driven. however does have some rust holes from water leaks. All damage on this vehicle is in the pictures provided. The 2 holes i just found last week on the floor from a leaking windshield seal have been patched. seam sealed and re undercoated from the bottom. The front portion of the original carpet was thrown out as it was ruined from this water leak. I have parked the car indoors. but the previous owner parked it outside for a year. There are also 2 rust holes right in front of the rear wheels on both sides from worn quarter window seals and sitting. The only other rust on this car is across the hood where the hood brace is. there are 3 small holes and the 4th is just starting. The original paint on the roof has started to wear away showing white and a small amount of surface rust. this is really light. but as you can see in the pics. The quarter patches and weatherstripping is all available from Classic Industries for the 1962 Impala (these parts are not included and just for reference). Where the Buick has rusted it is the same as the Impala so they will work like original. The 62 Impala also shares the same roof line so the weatherstripping will work no probem. There is also a small water leak on the rear window seal that gets into the trunk. but nothing but surface rust as you can see on the top shelf in the pics. Some damage on the lower drivers corners of the rear chrome bumper. I have described this vehicle to the best of my knowledge and better than an in person walk around would do. Hopefully this gives you the information you need to make and informed and confident purchase. I have driven this vehicle as far as 4 hours away from the city and its driven in hot summer bumper to bumper traffic. As it sits right now its a very competent driver that needs some finishing. If not for the price of gas I'd have no problem setting out across country in it. The carpet can be purchased in a number of locations. If you want black or maroon it will be about 250 shipped as ive found on ebay. maybe cheaper (Again just for reference as this is not included. just the factory rear section of carpet remains. ). SMS would be able to die the factory color for about 500 and die the factory color with salt and pepper for 700+. Just remembered some cracks in the middle of the steering wheel as seen in one of the pics. . As said Ive done my best to describe this car as if you were here. you are more than welcome to come inspect if for yourself if you are able. The original key. owners manuals and some other service and assembly manuals also included.
There is no known problems that I am aware that I have no disclosed. I do however assume no liability for this vehicle once is leaves my possession. This vehicle is sold As Is. A bit of history on it as well. it was a one owner car from 62-97 since then I think its had 4 more owners. maybe 3. Very solid car. the undercarriage is clean with no rust or rot other than described. It has been undercoated as well. I have been underneath this car on a creepers as well as a friend of mine who knows much more than I do and ever he marveled at how clean it was underneath. as well as the tow truck driver that hooked it up when my single master failed. This is a good solid car. that doesnt need a whole lot to be top dollar car. Best of luck and feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer. Thank you for your time.
The speedometer and odometer are in miles even though this is originally a Canadian car. as in the 60s they still used MPH. Check with US Customs for Importation into the USA. as I have only imported from USA to Canada. But when I sold my 57 Dodge on here last fall I looked it up on the internet and it just seemed to be paperwork at the border and state taxes if any.
