Ford : Galaxie Galaxie 500 7 Litre convertible

For sale is a 1966 Ford Galaxie 7 Litre Convertible. These 7 Litre models were a one year only model marketed in 1966 by Ford as a high performance luxury car. There were 2368 of these 7 Litre convertibles built and today. there are about 229 of these cars listed on the 7 Litre registry. Of the 229 cars. about 150 are still drivable in a variety of conditions. Of the 150 driveable cars. there would be about 40 in very good condition to excellent condition This car would. arguably. be in the top 10 or 15. What separates this car from most of the other excellent 7 Litre convertibles is the fact that it has NOT had a frame off restoration. It has been painted twice (in 1981 and 2012). It has had three tops installed (1966. 1981. 2003). Engine and 3 speed automatic transmission were fully rebuilt in 2007. A new set of orignal seats were custom made and installed in 2013 and new carpeting was installed at the same time. All the fenders. doors. panels. bumpers. engine. transmission. rear end. hood. trunk are all original to the car today as they were on Feb 7. 1966 when it rolled off the Mahwah assembly line. The frame. trunk pan. floor pans (front and back) rocker panels. quarter panels are all orignal and rust free. The front Kelsey Hayes brakes were removed and rebuilt in the spring of 2013 and new pads and rotors were installed.

So what does this car NOT have. Well. it doesn't have a honking big Holley 750 gas guzzling carb. Edelbrock high performance heads and intake. nbsp;hot as a firecracker cam. headers. aftermarket wheels and rims. etc etc etc so if that stuff is important to you. this is probably not the car for you. All this car has is  the original parts that the Ford Mortor Company designed. engineered. and built in their 1966 model year cars.

VIN 6E63Q205196. This VIN number also matches the VIN tag on the upper firewall cowl on the right passenger side above the heater blower motor. Both VIN's are clearly readable.
