Up for sale is 1959 Ford Galaxie Fairlane 500 2 door hard top I purchased this car last year from an estate sale in the Okanagan region of British Columbia from the family of a man that was deceased. He had bought this car in 1988 and had spent the past number of years dutifully restoring his dream car in his family home garage replacing many parts with new ones. He has replaced all brake shoes. brake cylinders and hardwear. brake lines and hoses. New mastercylinder. new shocks. new starter. turned the drums and had the gas tank steam and cleaned. He had started on the interior and replaced the carpet. but car will need seats done and door panels are not perfect. rubbers around the car are good and he does have new replacements for ones that need attention. Chrome and stainless are in good to excellent condition. with many replacement one to go with car . The longer pieces are not in the photos. but will be in car when sold. I would like to have finished this car. but have to many other projects on the go and being pressured to finish what I have started! I think this is a real nice entry level classic that will give the new owner many enjoyable driving days. Car starts right up and motor runs beautifully with no clicking or tapping or missing. Steering is tight and transmission shifts as It should. The wheels on the car are from a early thunderbird and I do not have original wheels or hub caps. the spare is original. but will need a tire . I did not get all of the jack with the car. but will but in what I have. There is no visible signs of rust and under side appears clean . I did not work on this car and do not guarantee work or quality of the work. You can bid on the car with confidence. keeping in mind it will need to be finished. All the glass is in excellent condition and dash is perfect and original with no cut outs Car has original am radio. but is not working Car has not been on the road since 1988. so please if your the buyer. go through all fluids and make necessary adjustments!
