1968 Ford Mustang GT | eBay

This is a honest car with original mileage(35. 00) as told to me by the long time owner. Drag raced early in it's life ( still has a couple window stickers from drag strip) then passed down through the family. New England Dragway class winner
Full Deluxe Marti report stating 1968 Mustang 428 Cobra Jet engine  . 4 speed . 3. 91 optional axle ratio traction lock . old down rear seat . radio delete . power disc brakes. Built May 23 1968.
Fresh wonderful running Cobra Jet engine. I cannot confirm if it's the original block but it is date cast and hand stamped assembly date correct. This engine sounds good with it's new reproduction transversed exhaust ( by Motive).
All new brakes . heel bearings . nbsp;brake lines . brake hoses . uspension . fuel tank  . fuel lines . NOS brake booster . teering rebuilt .  
Staggerd rear shocks with Koni's on all four corners.
Date correct nodular rear end rebuilt . 31 splined axles . new axle bearings . seals and gaskets.
Rebuilt transmission correct numbers plus restored shifter and rods
rebuilt drive shaft
New clutch . motor mounts. Radiator rebuilt . NOS fan shroud . complete working smog
Tim O'conner date correct restored 4 speed distributor
Joe Buntic restored AA early date correct Carburetor early with pins
Restored big X dated correct fuel pump
Starter delay ( above solenoide ) 68. 5 CJ only

All original interior . driver seat with wear . headliner usable but stitched up as seam came apart . original dash with working  8k tach . factory door panels and painted surfaces.
Body has original sheet metal and some factory paint . Paint has been touched up several places but all and all could be driven as is to local cars shows. I had no plans to do anything to the body or paint . just drive as is.
Most chrome is nice as is the grille . fog lamps . tail lights . This car is mostly original so not perfect but nice for it's age.
Solid solid body . no rust under carrige . mall rust area lower front passengers door ( pictured)  all the factory seam seal and undercoat detail still present. Solid beautiful fender aprons with VIN stamping . drivers door tag . factory buck tag and dash VIN all present.
Has had the trans tunnel cut for different shifter back in the day but correct piece included . there is a small temporary piece of metal covering a 4 x 6 inch hole. The original carpet has been repaired to some what hide the cut out made many years ago.  
Both rear wheel lips were bent up to accomidate larger tires . not flared  . The car had traction bars welded on at some point . previous owner removed them some repair required (minor).
Everything works !!

The underbody shot is to show the condition of the floor boards ect . Yes the drive shaft is missing. It is a before picture . The car is complete and running with tremendous power.

 After this picture was taken the leaf springs were dismantled detailed and rebuilt with bushings and insulator's. the entire rear end assembly was taken apart cleaned and painted . studs were knocked out so the axels could be turned in a lathe trueing up the drum mounting surfaces and assuring the wheels will run perfect. Then the axle bearings were pushed on and the center section rebuilt and detailed . new brake lines . seals . brakes and brake hardware affixed and all other parts and pieces replaced or otherwise attended to. The driveshaft was rebuilt and detailed .

The e-brake was setup . new shocks and supply lines mounted. I wanted to leave this car alone for the next owner . in the mean time we were just driving as is with as little restoring as possible but safe and reliable.
