Supplied new to its first owner on 16th March 1972. this original RHD UK example is now tax exempt & underwent a comprehensive body restoration in 2006 by the current local bank manager owner whom has resided over this example for 11 years. This stunning vehicle has only travelled around 3. 00 miles since this restoration & has been stored by him in his heated garage. It comes complete with comprehensive service records showing diligent maintenance dating back to 1988.

This stunning example is the complete package. recently finished in MG Flame red. with newly chromed original bumpers. working overdrive. brand new quality chrome wires & a complete newly trimmed black full leather interior piped red with matching boot carpet set. Our trimmer has also just fitted a new quality mohair soft top. We have also just undertaken an engine out repaint of the bay along with the engine & all ancillary components completed to show standards along with a full refresh of the vehicle. which now presents splendidly & is ready to show or just enjoy.

The vehicle came to us with Minilite alloy wheels shod in matching as new tyres. the Minilite wheels have been professionally refurbished & if preferred. we will fit back onto the vehicle & reduce the price to £10. 95. (Naturally the new chrome wires won't be supplied as part of the deal at that price!)

Showing 32. 15 miles on the 1798cc freshly rebuilt engine with the cylinder head converted to unleaded. naturally with working overdrive. This is one of the best driving MGB roadsters that we have ever had the pleasure in driving. You can tell it was done by someone whom loves driving with the intention to enjoy it on rallies and tours & not just sit in the garage!

The body restoration in 2006 consisted of in brief: 2No. new inner cills. 2No. new outer cills. 2No. new front wings. new floor sections. 1No. new door. 2No. new quarter wings. full repaint in Flame red. new bumper. sound proofing. new black OE carpet set. The current owner has been most diligent in his up keep of the vehicle over the last 11 years along with the usual routine maintenance by in brief recently conducting the following works mainly by Fishers MG – Our local MG specialist: Lower column bush. brake hoses. brake fluid change. anti roll bar bushes fitted. track rod ends. king pin set. outriggers at a cost of £932 in 2007. new slave cylinder & hoses. oil feed pipe again by Fishers. prop shaft & full clutch set in 2005. new springs. shocks & other related suspension parts amounting to a bill £920. 00 in 2004 along with an engine cooling fan fitted again by Fishers in 2004…

We have just completed the following works along with fitting new quality parts as listed: A full & comprehensive engine out partial rebuild as required & repaint of the complete engine bay along with the engine & all ancillary parts. the inner face of bonnet lid. Painted the boot void & inner face of the boot lid. prepped & painted the hood frame. fitted a new quality mohair hood. flat & machine polished the external Flame red paintwork which was repainted in 2006 & has been garage dry stored since. applied Wurth spray gun applied quality underseal to protect the vehicle for the next 41 years of it's life. rechromed the front & rear bumpers including the over riders & headlamp surrounds etc. our trimmer has retrimmed the interior including the seats & gear stick gaiter in quality black leather hides with the seats piped in red. The door cards & other front & rear panels have also been renewed with correct parts from MGB Hive. New quality full matching black piped red boot carpet set including the spare wheel cover. New quality MG logo black front over mats. fitted brand new quality chrome wire wheels with new matching tyres & new spare wire wheel (Not chrome). new chrome spinners. hubs & all associated fittings along with front wheel bearings. Fitted new quality door & boot locks with 1 key fitting all. New ignition switch.  New rear Lucas lights. Lucas reversing lamps. New front quality headlamps.  2No new quality front indicator light sets. chrome effect wiper blades. new quality air vent grill. period chrome ariel mast. period silver on black metal number plates & all fixings. new boot badges along with front badges. new quality chrome locking petrol cap. span >  2No. new quality wing mirrors. Tudor washer bottle set with associated pipe. new throttle cable. new head bolt & nut. new alternator pulley. new heater valve. new head gasket set. new sump gasket. new thermostat. new water pump. new fan belt. distributor cap. span >  tappet / gaskets. rocker cover gasket. oils seal. Fan blade. lock plates. period coil. rad cap. bonnet closer rubbers. pedal rubbers. GB badge set. bonnet seals. boot seal. new red jack & Thor mallet for those new chrome spinners & various other trim items. MG leather key ring. MG tax disc holder along with associated period decal set – Many parts supplied by MGB Hive or quality suppliers.

The vehicle has also naturally had a full engine service. tune. plugs. HT leads & multi point check with a 2 hour test drive. it holds excellent pressure and temperature– I just could not resist using it when the sun came out! This vehicle has also had a detailed valet. it's on the button. looks absolutely stunning. goes like a rocket & has been done by people who know the marquee.
