1984 RENAULT 18 GTS Mk2 29k MILES,FSH, FAMILY OWNED **A Very Rare Opportunity**

Here we have available part of my own private collection a very rare classic motor history. A 1984 Renault 18 GTS Mark 2 family owned with only 29k miles. looks and drives as New. Showing only 6 left in the country and will be the lowest mileage Renault 18 GTS in the country or even in Europe!

Originally supplied by S. Houghtons & Sons (Warrington) Ltd and delivered to its first owner Mrs J. E Smeaton of Lymm. Cheshire on 2nd August 1984. The Renault 18 remained in the same family based in Lymm. Cheshire and was passed down till 2004 when it was purchased by myself with approx 26. 97 miles showing.

Since 2004 it has been part of my own private collection. stored indoors and covered. It has been going through its yearly MOT checks and always passed with No issues.

The Renault 18 GTS also known as the R18 comes standard with Front electric wimdows. Central locking. Factory fitted Radio/cassette (original from 1984). Rear heated screen and Front headrests. as being the Mark 2 model its comes with Clear indicator lenses. Black polyester bumpers and door handles. Map reading light. Re-styled front grill and dashboard same as the Renault Fuego. Factory tinted glass and just as the Turbo models it comes with the rear boot spoiler. Black protective side mouldings and Turbo style side body stripes.

The interior looks and smells as New like the day it left the factory. Comfort seats covered in Grey velour cloth. very comfortable and totally unmarked. All the electrics work as they should with No defects.

The R18 is finished in a Metallic Silver paint and was one of the best colours available for its time. The paintwork is original and in excellent condition. the bodywork is totally rust free. there is NO rust on this vehicle and its has never been welded. the panels are all straight apart from one minor scuff to the passenger side lower wing and one minor ding to the driver side wing. both of these were present before my ownership (see pics).

The R18 has the 1647cc A-type petrol engine with twin webber carbs producing 79hp. these engines are bullet proof and are made to last. being such a low mileage car and backed up with full service records this engine is very srong and reliable with No issues. bolted on to a 5 speed manual gearbox giving just smooth gear changes.

The R18 starts and drives like a New car. very smooth and comfortable. the suspension parts and brakes all work fine as they should. I have just taken it in for its MOT and passed with No issues.

I have here the original Renault warranty card with all the service records (approx 30 stamps). Previous MOT certificates. The original owners manual book. The Renault Dealer Network map of Great Britain. A few old reciepts. V5 document and Two sets of keys all to go in the original Renault folder. the 18 comes with a 12 months MOT.
