Stunning Freestone & Webb coachwork makes this a very striking & attractive car. The body takes the form of an Opera Coupe or Brougham with faux pram irons to the sides. opera lamps to the scuttle & faux cane work to the sides of the car. It is rakish in the extreme. Ordered new off the Earls Court motor show stand in 1938. the first owner was the actor Stewart Granger. Later on it passed to Kenneth Horne of "round the Horne" broadcasting fame.

To the interior is magnificent Macasser ebony highly figured with a mirror matched tiger stripe figuring. The leather is St James red hide partly original with newer but patinated hide to the seat cushions. To the boot is a fold out tray containing an entire set of small tools all found in their appointed places.

The exterior paint is clearly very old with some localized crazing in places but polishes up beautifully & presents well. Indeed this is one of those cars to be entered into the preservation section of any concours & is all the better for it.

On the road the car drives beautifully with a strong silent engine & seamless running. Gear changes are smooth & easy; the steering light & direct. Cars with such desirable coachwork rarely come to market. In the last decade it has appeared twice at the RRREC national rally & both times has won the prize for the most elegant 25/30 present.

£12. 00 has been spent recently on the car fettling the mechanics & bringing it up to perfect driving condition. The car is fitted with overdrive making it long legged & a relaxed cruise at 60MPH. the speedometer incidentally being absolutely accurate when calibrated to my GPS. A major engine rebuild was undertaken not many miles ago leaving the car in sweet running order. The oil pressure is over 30PSI at speed. The water temperature runs around 70 degrees. The one shot lubrication is connected & working as it ought.
