Rolls-Royce 20/25

If you want a smart. usable. elegant Vintage car that can be used for family holidays. weddings. or long distance touring. this is the car for you.
This car is Chassis Number GLJ67. if you wish to look up all her details in the Register. I have copies of all the factory build sheets that I will happily pass on to the new owner.
She was fitted during restoration with a Laycock de Normanville overdrive unit to lower the noise. engine temperature and wear-and-tear whilst returning better fuel economy when making her stately way along these modern motorway things. This reduces engine revolutions by 33% when electrically engaged in third and top gears. making a huge difference to modern usability. Good oil pressure and charging current under all conditions. Fitted with an official. replacement aluminium cylinder head from the RREC which has hardened valve seats and can therefore run safely with unleaded petrol.  
The autovac fuel system with its reserve tap. the one-shot chassis lubrication. the shock-damper ride control from the steering wheel. and the mechanical brake servo on the gearbox have all been renovated and work well. which is quite uncommon on cars of this age.

She is fitted with a contemporary trunk on the R-R rack at the rear. complete with it's original three. fitted suitcases and a modern waterproof cover.

She is still keenly welcomed at the weddings of friend's and family. and goes to Royal Ascot from time to time. She has been to northern France twice and across Ireland. She has proved a really practical and usable car; plenty of room inside. very tractable in modern traffic yet covers longer daily mileages comfortably on motorways when necessary. and with excellent brakes.
Unfortunately. I am becoming less able to drive the distances and so am hardly using her now; also I need the garage space for other interests.  
I would advise any potential buyer to come and view the car and we will go out for a test run in her; but you can buy sight unseen if you choose. but I am afraid that of course no warranty can be given for such an elderly car in either case. The plus side of her age is that she no longer needs to have an annual MOT Test. although I could arrange for one to be carried out if the buyer wishes and at the buyers expense. Provided normal vehicle insurance (which I have never found to be expensive for this car) is in place a road tax disk will be issued each year by the DVLA at no cost. so you need never bother with SORN. Currently carrying a current tax disk.  
Payment preferably by BACS transfer. but PayPal or a personal cheque can be accepted. The buyer will be responsible for collection from my West Yorkshire home. but not until all the money has been received.
