1969 Series 2a Land Rover swb 3. 5 V8

Thanks for looking at this good old Land Rover. full of charm and character.

It has MOT till September 2014  (failed on reflectors and only advisories were headlamp deteriorated)

Taxed till Feb 2015 (tax exempt)

Was converted to a 3. 5 Rover V8 carb engine approx. 14 years ago. Still original 2a gearbox.

Rebuilt gearbox and new clutch a few years ago -

Bodywork

The bodywork on this Land Rover is excellent. panels are all straight and very little sign of corrosion. It has been hand- painted bronze green which really suits the truck and adds to the appeal. giving the Land Rover a real authentic look. The chassis looks to be sound with no evidence of recent work. The rear cross member is very good. Bulkhead looks sound as do the footwell.

Interior

The Land Rover has a great interior. with 3x new seats. The dashboard has the original dials and a custom push button starter switch. The headlining is a bit worn but ok

Oily bits

Engine starts fine from cold and drives well. Gears all engage and it has an optional overdrive fitted. Brakes are good

Looks to have been a decent conversion and certainly pulls very well. Other than the engine the Land Rover is totally standard and looks fantastic
