Hi I am helping my friend and original owner sell his 77 International Scout II .   Winning bidder to arrange pick up from his home in Whittier where it has been sitting un moved since at least 1990 when the last tag that is still on it was put. He hadnt driven it in a few years before that but still paid the yearly registration until 1990. Always a California truck. it was seldom used (47. 53) or about 1200 miles a year.
It has been in the same spot un covered since at least 24 years+ so it is weather beaten and some rust has set in. largely on the removable top. on the rear gutters and where the top meets the edges of the body.
The chassis is unaffected by the rust coming thru on some panels. it still is mostly super solid with no under carriage rust.
Also has never been hit evidenced by its original paint and stripping. it is very strait and shows no signs of abuse or heavy pulling.
the interioris in good shape except the driver seat ( owner is a 300+lbs giant) door panels. glass and trim are all in good condition

Charlie is a retired professional photographer and had other vehicles for daily use. this truck was for pleasure (Yosemite fishing trips ect. )
It is all there intact except for the horn button and the radio which was stolen years ago.

Mechanically it was running fine when he stop using it due to difficulty clutching due to bad knees.
He purchased it new and still has the old original small first pink slip.
It has the Dana limited slip on both axles and a protective slam plate shielding the gas tank undamaged.
I examined the under carriage and it is structurally sound with no cancer. The rust seems contained to the removable top and
on the driver side below the windshield and coming thru low on one fender leg. all in all good candidate with good bones.

Included with the sale is the owners manual and all pertaining documents and a shop manual.

No attemps have been made to start it and it will need to be transported. He does not have the resources to
get it back running again. It'll need a battery. gas tank cleaned. fuel. tune up. ect. you know the routine.

Please refrain from bidding if you do not want to follow through. my only negative feedback is from a bidder who had cold feet and did not follow through and blamed me for his errors. So be serious before committing to buy.
you will need to contact the owner to arrange a time for inspecting or for pick up.
