EXTREMELY RARE OPPORTUNITY TO RESTORE A RARE ORIGINAL LUXURIOUS COUPE CAR.
This is a TA21 Tickford Drophead coupe car.
This is a survivor of only 302 made in post war Britain. The number left surviving ow would be very few.
This car requires full restoration. Will start and run but needs an enthusiast with time and skill to restore to its full potential. Look up TA21 coupe alvis online and see the value of a fully restored car and see the value this car will be worth after some time is spent on it. This really is a unique opportunity to own something very special.
The car is in cream and has red leather interior and hood. Both which need full restoration. Car is full of original character and beauty. Wooden dash. dials. steering wheel etc.
The TA21 was based on a lengthen TA14 chassis and milliner saloon with Tickford Drophead coachwork. There were only 302 of these produced. The cars produced had 6 cylinder engines with 7- bearing crankshafts.  Having Three litre engines and delivering 83 bhp. The chassis was originally made very strong with coil spring front suspension and leaf springs at the back. Car had Lockheed hydraulic drum brakes all round.
It's its day the car was made extremely luxurious and seated 4-5 passengers with the front seats tipping forwards to offer access to back seats. Original price for these cars was extremely expensive.
Unlike the TA21 saloon. the coupe was extremely rare! But due to the more vastly produced TA21 saloon this means mechanical parts and spares for the TA21 coupe should not be hard to come by.
The car does start and run but it needs a full restoration and will need a good amount of time and money spent to get it looking beautiful again! However there are not many Chances to acquire a vehicle of this age.

(This car has been in a family since the 1960's. My dad as a young boy went to collect it with his older friend and loved it from that day onwards. The car became my Dads a few years ago and he set out to restore it to its former glory! He did restore parts of the car and spent many happy hours working on it. Lack of time meant dad didn't get far as he had many other projects on the go.  The car now needs to go to a new home. )
