Jaguar XJS v12 6.0L 1994 facelift service history&bills 125k mot & tax for sale
Current customer rating: (395 votes ) based onLovely 1994 XJ-S V12 6. 0L in silver. MoT to December of this year with tax to June.
Car comes with a stamped service book with 13 entries from new to 121. 89 miles (currently at 125k) in July 2006 and then maintained independently by the previous owner's local garage (bills to support). He owned the car for the last ten years before emigrating to Australia.
Old MoT certs present to verify the mileage
I bought the car with the view to keeping it because these are becoming quite rare and are now appreciating in value. However. I just don't get enough time to enjoy the car and feel these are best when used regularly. so have reluctantly decided to sell it.
Engine and gearbox are good. It's a fast car!
Known issues. The car was standing for about a year and has some related issues which are diminishing with use but you should be aware of them. Headliner is sagging and will need replacement at some point. I had a small amount of welding done underneath (less than 100 GBP). otherwise body is reasonable. albeit there is some bubbling either side on the front scuttle and discolouration on the offside rear wheel arch and cill. The is minor damage to the offside front door leading edge when someone has opened the door too far. This can be repaired or a new door fitted; I have a spare which can be purchased separately for 100 GBP if you're interested. Very occasionally. there is some brake feedback caused by the build up of crud on the disc teeth; this is diminishing with use as the teeth clean up naturally. The MoT advised that the steering bushes will need changing at some point and is acknowledged by the occasional groan. although my mechanic says they're not urgent. Can't think of anything else (nothing major) but will add if I discover.
Inspections welcome and encouraged for a 20 year old car.
Please. please. only bid if you intend to buy. can afford it and have permission from the wife!
Cash on collection only.
Any questions welcome. However I will ignore emails asking me to end the auction early for 500 quid below the start price or asking what 'I'll take for cash' (always strikes me as an odd incentive. as if I might be tempted by chocolate buttons or fluffy cuddly toys instead. when I've already stated it's a cash on collection transaction only).
The car is advertised elsewhere. I reserve the right to end early.
Winning bidder to make contact within 8 hours of auction end please – genuine purchasers know they've won so don't need days to respond! If you ‘win' and don't make contact within this timeframe. I'll offer to any underbidders.
Thanks for reading.
