Up for SALE is an original 1968 Shelby Cobra GT-500 Mustang. Car has build sheet. all appropriate tags on dash. fender wall and door (SEE PIC'S). Numbers matching original. correct color. Car is 428 C. I. Police Interceptor. nbsp;Toploader 4-Speed. no AC. 66. xx miles. numbers matching.  I have a large file shared on Google Drive with high resolution pictures and also Youtube "Walk Around" videos uploaded to my channel. contact me for further details.
Options checked off on the buildsheet;Bumper guard. clock. AM radio. Power front brakes. wheel lip mouldings. remote driver mirror. UNDER GROUPS visib/court is checked. tachometer. power steering. deluxe wheels. tilt wheel. Sport Deck.
The factory AM is not working. never checked it out when I bought it to see if it's just an electrical glitch or what. Interior is Saddle and in very good condition. with the biggest issues being a missing the rear lower light bezel and ashtray at the back of the center console facing the back seat for passengers. and a 3" crack in rear passenger side panel. I've owned her for 9 years and knew the previous owner (from 96' to '05). Car has had no accident history in that time frame. I don't know the accident history before then but to the best of my knowledge there is none. I do also have some documentation of owners back to early 80's and when I looked up the owners from the old registrations. I found contact info on Dexonline but I never contacted them. I will include that info. Since the early 80's the car has been in Oklahoma. Texas and Colorado. there are no signs of rust on the body or undercarriage. Heater core recently went out and I haven't had a chance to repair and don't want to put a new one in without pullii if it is the original one or not. possibly the original one can be re-cored/repaired. so. the hoses are bypassing the heater core right now. Non-original items to the best of my knowledge are. Hurst shifter. 2 extra Stewart Warner gauges in center console. car was repainted in the early 90's and is in very good condition.  At the time of repaint they put the wrong rocker decals on the car. the ones currently on the car are from a '68 KR. Has a few chips. but still looks very nice. definitely much better than a 10-footer. The 2 window cranks are missing the knobs because I haven't found a replacement and didn't want to put non OEM on. windows can still be rolled down so I haven't ever worried about it. it's not like it gets driven every day. I have the original 10 spoke wheels that go with car in very good condition but are missing 2 center caps. Car currently has 17 inch "Eleanor". Edelbrock 454's. knockoff style wheels with BF Goodrich "Red" Scorchers. Rear tires have some gouges on outer sidewalls from rubbing inside of chrome fender wheel lip trim due to the offset of the "Eleanor's". Car is documented in the Shelby registry.
PRE-PURCHASE inspections are encouraged. it is ultimately your responsibility to verify the condition. I try to be accurate and honest in my description but I can't be responsible because you haven't done your Due Diligence.  My opinion is subjective and may be more critical or possibly less critical than yours.  But. I don't think anyone will be disappointed in the condition of this original condition. there just aren't that many left.  I am motivated to sell. looking to purchase a house in the "Keys".  But. I'm not desperate either so don't waste your time low balling. reasonable offers will be considered and responded to.  If I don't respond. well. I probably consider it low balling and not worth my time. you can go bother someone else.  I also have the car listed on Craigslist in Colorado Springs with possible trade considerations. you can search for it and see details of what I would consider.
Clear title in hand.
