I bought this hot hatch in 1985! and I have since kept it in its original order; even the Number plates are the original ones supplied when new in 1982 from the VW Dealership. The one previous owner had ordered from new the VW alloy wheel option. which was a classic Italian manufacture. and these are the originals ordered with the car in 1982 - I have not seen this Alloy design on any other MK1 Golfs! 

Finished in Black. with the Hella twin headlamp grille set. this Mk1 Golf GTi has a presence which makes it almost impossible to drive anywhere. and not receive any compliments of admiration about it!

1600cc 'EG' prefix engine. K-tronic fuel injection. nbsp;5 speed gear box. New radiator fitted.

Always garaged since 1985. 12 months MOT. Road Tax August 2014.

Panasonic radio/cassette was originally installed by the VW Dealership. nbsp;and I still have the Manual for this. with the original Blue Service Book. and Blue Owners Manual. 162. 20 miles - I think VW stated they had over-engineered the Mk1 Golf GTi. nbsp;as it was considerd barely 'run-in' at 100. 00 miles! 

In respect to the body work it was stripped to the shell in 2000. and I have the photographic records of the bodywork undertaken. This is a drivers car. and having owned it for the past 28 years. I'm not looking forward to letting it go. but it needs a new steward to take it on a new journey. which it deserves!

I will also be advertising it elsewhere. as over the years I have had a great deal of interest expressed to me when it comes up for sale. so this advertisement might be withdrawn at any time.
