This is a true black plate California car with minimal rust(see pictures). The car has been in storage indoors since 1976. We purchased this car to build a weekend toy 8 years ago but the project was put on hold due to time and money. Now we need to sell due lack of storage space. The car was non running but complete when we purchased it. We sold the original engine as we were not planning on using it. Since the car has been in our possession it has accumulated some rust due the roof leaking in our previous building. The rust is very minor and mainly located in the spare tire well. The body has some surface rust and only on the right side in the lower portion of the quarter panel/rocker and a small spot of the left front fender. Car was originally red but was repainted before storage in a non factory blue color with white lace stripes on the sides. We have the top bows(complete)which are not attached to the chassis but we do not have the top canvas. Front seats and all carpets are missing.  Door cards are in very good shape and rear seat and quarter trims are decent. All windows. windshield are original glass and in great condition. Door seals are in car but should be replaced. Front bumper. valance panel are missing. Front panel/grill assembly was removed and is included. All chrome and lights are with car. Some of these were removed by us preparing for paint and body work. This car has an early hood with center handle and a hardtop from a 948cc Herald Hardtop model. The hardtop does not have the headliner or locks but does have original rear glass. The wood dash. switches. instruments are in good shape (see pictures) Fuel tank was drained when originally put in storage so tank is clean. Original factory full wheel covers and spare wheel.

We have 2 1500cc engines and 1 1300cc engine. 4 transmissions (2 single rail and 2-3 rail). boxes with some extra parts. TR6 Leather steering wheel(like new condition). UK Spec (1500 engine) 1 1/2" SU Carbs (rebuilt). Manifold and factory air cleaner. big valve 1300 head complete. See pictures of these parts under listing heading.

Car does not have a title but is clear.  It will come with a proper California Bill of Sale.

About Us

We are car crazy people who enjoy preserving the automobiles of the past. Finding obscure parts new or used to help keep the cars of our past on the road is our goal. We also strive to find or produce uprated/modern parts for these vehicles to allow them to be more roadworthy. One way of keeping the past alive is to preserve automobile memorabilia and collectables. When we find unique automobile collectibles we will add them to our auctions.

do you still have the herald?

from James, dated 01 february 2015
Have you sold the car yet? Are you willing to part out any portion of the interior? I am seeking out a dash for my 1965 Sport 6 Triumph. I also need a windscreen and driver door. Thanks,
James Lakeport, CA 707-245-4962
