This is chassis number B550TN. engine number B475T and built in Crewe in September 1953.
it is the export specification model ie large bumpers etc . like the Rolls Royce Silver Dawn. The car was however originally built as a right hand drive model .
it was originally exported to Italy and owned by a Sr G P Brizzolesi . believed to be an Italian Diplomat at the time.
By many this model is regarded to be the perfect combination of post war convenience and elegance but with the character and feel of a pre-war car. It is totally at home among modern day motoring or of course for those Classic Tours.
The car is still fitted with the original flashing traffic indicators and a heated rear screen.
The engine is the 4. 5 Litre "straight six" . whose design can be traced back to the original 3 Litre of Sir Henry Royce and his20 hp model.
The car is fitted with SU carburettors and a smooth 4 speed automatic gearbox.
The car returned to the UK in 1984 when it underwent a no expense spared restoration equivalent to £50000 in todays terms. This included  complete body and mechanical works. It has only completed a mere 30k miles since. The restoration was not completed until 1988 by the then owner who was a member of the Bentley drivers club and the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club. In 1988 the car won the Best Post War car at the annual rally of the BDC. and remains well known although not seen alot in the Rolls and Bentley circuit.
The car has been in the custody of the current owner for the past 22 years and has always lived in a heated dry . dehumidified garage.
The car has only been driven in the summer and not on damp wet roads.

The official colours are Burgundy over Shell Grey with superb Magnolia hide interior . urgundy carpets edged in ivory leather and burgundy lamb's wool over-rugs for those chilly Ascot days!All chrome and woodwork is in very good condition.

As members of the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts club for the last 30 years my wife and I have enjoyed many rallies and meetings and the car won Most Elegant in class at the R-Rec rally in 2001.
This truly is a wonderful car and has to be seen to be appreciated.
It is only being sold due to impending retirement and the wish to downsize.   It is time for the beautiful lady to fall into someone elses custody .
