Here we have for sale a 1960 Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite MK1.

These highly desirable little cars often appear alongside much more powerful machinery in private car collections. confirming the fact that they are wonderfully rewarding to own and are capable of putting a smile on your face.

This car has the usual lower half rust issues which as you may know is quite straight forward to repair. Repair sections. panels and parts availability is very good and keenly priced.

The body shell. doors and bonnet have been painted in primer as most of the outside of the car has been stripped back to the bare metal. this means that there is no hidden rust so what you see is what you are get.

The car is 99 percent complete (only the rev counter and passengers side seat are missing)

The sale includes:

-950cc engine with a mini cooper cylinder head. the engine is stripped and ready for rebuild

-Correct smooth cased 4 speed gearbox with gear stick. and gear stick surround with original rubber

-Prop-shaft with both ends attached

-Rear axle including a 4. 2 diff. two half shafts. brake cylinders and adjustable shoes with 2 hubs. studs and usable bearings

-Handbrake assembly

-Two leaf springs. radius arms and spring hanger plates  

-Front suspension including wishbones king pins. shock absorbers. hubs. bearings. brake cylinders and shoes

-Steering assembly with steering column. steering rack. nuts/bolts and mounting brackets are still attached

-Rear brake light and all indicator lights including chrome finishings

-original chrome grill

-Bonnet stay

-The desirable steel bonnet

-windscreen and frame with side pillar attachments. original rubbers all together

-working painted and reconditioned windscreen wiper motor and wheel box assembly

-Heater . ncluding pipes and ventilating systems

-Heater fan. some bits have been painted black

-Resprayed pedal box and pedals including resprayed passenger side blanking plate

-Master cylinder stripped and ready for reconditioning

-Various brake unions     

-Fuel tank with sender unit and fuel filler neck

-Radiator and attachment arms to chassis rail

-original wiring loom

-Two original steel doors with hinges still attached to the car which have never removed. As the doors have not been removed the door gaps are really good

-Two door check straps and door pockets

-Interior includes RHD dashboard (no radio) but blanking plate is still in place. only rev counter is missing

-Drivers seat. ncluding adjustable runners and seat brackets

-Various carpets and all other vinyl  trimmings

-Hood frame which has been oiled and moves freely

-Tonneau cover with all clips included body and tonneau

-four steel wheels and tyres

The parts for the car are all in boxes  and ready for restoration. All of the body numbers are present and I have a V5 is in my name.
