Multi Role Trailer – MR35

Made by Oldbury for the MoD.

This was purchased as new and has been used a few times over the last 5 years on short runs.

Never off road and it has not damage.

It is the most versatile trailer. can be used with the full Tilt and frame as shown but also turns into a flat bed very quickly

with the tilt and frame being totally removable for flat loads of vehicles.

This can take all Jeeps and Short Landrovers.

Very stable to tow and is not a lightweight trailer.

The Tilt opens and clips up on all sides.

Spare wheel new.

The pictures show it behind a Landcriuser. this is the smallest vehicle you will get a away with. it is much better suited to a RB or MJ/TK or similar sized vehicle.

It is not suitable being towed by a Landrover. not only do they not have the power to pull it but the trailer is to wide for it.

Hi, is this still for sale?

Hello,

Just curious: what *are* the exact dimensions of this fascinating trailer, other than a bed-length of 3,4m?....;))
(not even the manufacturer ('s site) states anything more than this, oddly)

Btw, when I say 'fascinating', I say this in 'comparative' context, as I own a sample of the original design, the Hagglunds/Moelven MB59A / Bandvagnssläpkärra MT1922A.

In that context, I would also *love* to see a few more pix of the suspension.
I have always wondered whether the (baffling simple, almost crude) design of the Moelven couldn't be improved easily.
(crude, because the actual suspension is just a rubber block between the front and rear swing-arm)
(as in: totally & utterly load-insensitive, save 1-2cm of rubber compression)
Yours at least has a leaf spring, as overall suspension, apart from what looks like a totally free moving bogie (from what I saw in the movie at Oldbury.co.uk).

Would also love to hear the story how & where you (directly) purchased this (obviously MoD-restricted?) piece of equipment.
And, if indeed you bought this as a civil/private person, what the list-price and options were, in particular the ski's (missing on my Moelven, but I arranged (& sold) a few more samples from Sweden, with ski's (my first Moelven, the one I still own today, was found in Holland, as 'collateral' items in a large batch of stuff from Scandinavia, probably government sale, ranging from kitchens to

PS, even relative/comparative, your's is indeed 'huge', having an empty weight nearly twice that of the Moelven....:))
(but alas, the Moelven is mostly made out of aluminium, including the waterproof hull (it can float & swim, just like the Hagglunds BV206 it was designed for)
(its predecessor, the Volvo BV202, also had a floating trailer, but more like a single-axle bathtub on (retractable) wheels)

Greetings from Holland!....:))
(if you were living closer, I would definitely pay you a visit....right now I am contemplating the challenging logistics, seriously considering buying yours....:))
(I have both a HDJ80 Land Cruiser and a Volvo C306 6x6 firetruck, as capable towing machines....:))

Definitely hope to hear more interesting details about your trailer!
