1965 Shelby Cobra Replica by Unique Motorcars

Unique Motorcars 427SC with 3. 00 original miles by original owner.   Purchased in 2006 as a deluxe pallet kit which means all chassis  components. frame. brakes and rear end were preassembled at the factory.   Balance of work took approximately two years to complete.

          Unique is the oldest of all Cobra replica companies featuring an exact body shape and interior close to original.   See uniquemotorcars. com.  

          Engine:  Big block FE390 bored to 406 with modifications producing 425HP.   Engine built by Bill Parham of Southern Automotive. McDonnough. GA.   See southernautomotive. com.  

          Correct Holley 3310 -780 cfm carb. Edelbrock aluminum intake with logo removed to replicate original. Correct chrome valve covers. correct breather tube. Canton oil pan. MSD ignition with distributor modified to original appearance.   Bolts on side of block to replicate 4-bolt mains used on 427 side oiler.

          Suspension and Drive Train:  Rebuilt correct Ford top loader trans by Butch Caps.   Shifter handle is correct Mustang reversed curve connected to Hurst competition-plus shifter.   Rear end is 3. 54 positraction Jaguar with independent suspension. inboard brakes. emergency brake and dual adjustable coil overs.   This Dana rear end was same used on original Cobra.   Front end  is double wishbone custom made by Unique with dual coil overs.   Lakewood scattershield. Perfection clutch. and  driveshaft loop.   Wilwood racing disc brakes all around.

          Wheels and Tires: Correct  Halibrand style 15" Trigo  knock-offs with with pin drives.   Tires are Yokahoma Avid S/T  P275/60-R15  in rear and  P245/60-R15 15  in front.

          Accessories:  Jet coated side pipes. Sta- cool puller fan with electrically controlled thermostat guarantees cooling in all temperatures.   Black leather Tonneau cover. kill switch. insulated foot boxes. dot racing mirrors. correct windshield and wipers.

          Interior:  Correct Connelly leather seats and SC dash. Crow 5-point harnesses. Stewart Warner gauges and correct AC wood steering wheel.

          Body:  Deep blue metallic base/clear coat. with white stripes buried in the clear coat.   No spider cracks or ships.   Painted by Bruce Bunn of Jodeco Auto Body in Atlanta who specializes in Cobras.   See jodecoautobody. com.
